    Although i don't think we have a chance in * of any those players joining we will only find out if its all BS when we get through to the CL group stages. But i did read this morning that Martin Odegard said he would look at his position with RM after pre-season so maybe its him.

    He's not a striker, although wouldn't say him arriving wouldn't happen if we qualify as he's not going to get much game time at RM...............would you put him straight in and sacrifice the players development already with us? He'd only be coming for game time and not bench time so is he really that much better than the centre mids currently with us.........I don't know as haven't seen the kid much, so merely a question back to those that have seen him?

    Pato would be the most exciting signing in decades possibly ever in my lifetime. Berbatov has Zidane level of genius. Either would be amazing. When we cannot find money to offer our proven players improved contracts then I have to say I am very skeptical about these rumours. It will probably be another 2m on a never will be or more likely Scepovic will get his "chance". I hope I am wrong though and either of those two end up here.

    Maybe if CL group stage is confirmed and then VVD is sold for over £10m the board might appease the fans with an exciting signing.
    It's the wages that is the main sticking point for me with a marquee signing.

    Oh that seems pretty clear. If Malmo put us out, everyone will know we need the money and will be in a very weak position to negotiate, £11 million will be good under those circumstances and I assume that's why it hadn't been rejected. If we go through, we won't need to sell and so should be able to negotiate something a bit closer to what he's worth IMO.

    Michu on loan was name given to me today. Seen it has been mentioned on Twitter tonight.

    Swansea though have been actively shopping him to teams around Europe. So not sure of genuine interest or not.

    Stokes allegedly could be off by this week, possibly next week. A team in the Yorkshire region the most likely. Leeds and Burnley are being touted in today's papers.
