No chance of this happening, but would like to see a centre back partnership of VVD + Thomas Rogne. Think we let Rogne go too easily due to his injury problems, but when fit always liked him in the team.

The team needs a massive over haul, deadwood along with the ones that either a tent good enough or not how we'd thought they'd be.

MATTHEWS - 3-5mil from swansea then I'd take it. In an ideal world I'd keep him n he can fight Lustig for 1st choice RB. Always got Fisher coming through the ranks too.

AMBROSE - total bomb scare, never rated him get shot of him!.

BOERRIGTER - waste of money, on the Dr's table all time n ultimately crap!.

KAYAL & BITON - never lived up to the hype, not good enough get rid n clear up wages n whatever transfer fee we can get.

COMMONS - prob our best player but always had a bit of a "weight" issue, 30 y.o n don't think he'd have too many more seasons like last left in him so if we got anywhere near half what wba had been linked with him for then I'd take it n run

STOKES - good for spl n goals in spl n that's about it. Can't play as solo striker, doesn't score much In Europe, terrible attitude n always gets himself in the * n will bring negatively to the club.

GRIFFITHS - same as Stokes just * n even more of a *, the latest picture of him trying g to fight with a fan proves that, never shouldve signed him in the 1st place, get him punted!.

PUKKI & BALDE - another 2 waste of cash, salvage what we can fee wise, clear up wages n bring in some actually good players.

FORSTER & VVD - Would love them both to stay but both will undoubtedly leave In future...just when in the future will depend on their desire to leave now we're out the CL n how ambitious the club will be. I think if we can strengthen n have a really good go a the europa league (IF we strengthen then I don't see why we couldn't go far), then with ucl next season "hopefully" n the old firm games coming back could maybe keep them here for another 2 seasons. However if they want to go then I wouldn't take any less than 8 mil each at the very least!

Now for shortlist in my opinion;

Ruddy (Norwich) or Marshall (Cardiff) if Forster goes...but Randolph (Birmingham) more likely.

Kongolo (Feyenoord) young but not inexperienced, promising young player n might keep VVD happy being paired with a compatriot n not bombscare efe!. Can also play lb if needed n got great resale value.

Wilson (Hearts) good squad player n still think he'll become a cracking defender. Souttar (Dundee Utd) another promising young Scottish defender.

Dixon (Huddersfield) competition for Izzy.

McManaman (Wigan) seen this one on here the other day, been saying g for awhile now he'd be a great signing for us.

Kara (Genk) nicknamed the beast, would've been an ideal replacement for big vic. Can play as def mid.or cb.

Henriksen (Az) shouldve signed him before he went to Holland but would be great for us.

GMS & Armstrong (Dundee utd) another 2 young promising payers that would add a different element to our team n would grow with bettwr players a young them. GMS n McManaman as Wingers...would def give a big edge with those 2!.

Gudietti (man city) my no. 1 priority signing imo. Deemed surplus to requirements at city. 20 goals in 23 games for Feyenoord. Lustig n maybe even Henrik could put in a good word for us. Could see him wearing no. 7 n becoming a legend here.

Russell (Derby) another 1 we shouldve signed at the time. Pace, proven im spl n would fight for the jersey every second of every game.

Hooper (Norwich) would love to see him back, the only thing I'd love more his having him upfront with Gudietti lol. 2 years of his contract to go but now back in the championship. Maybe realising the grass isn't greener on the other side n european football would tempt him back. He was a fan favourite here, he's a squad player down there..All points to the cause n would be great to have him back.

 

You've probably just spent about £30m including some average players.

 

Him and/or Łukasz Teodorczyk and I'd be absolutely delighted. Could probably have the pair of them for £5m (and bear in mind we paid £4m for Stokes and Hooper combined).

Philipp Hosiner would have been another excellent, realistic option. He's just gone to Rennes for a measly £1.67m.
