    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/new-cardiff-striker-ross-mccormack-984813

McCormack once made his name for Rangers with a Champions League goal that earned a precious draw with Porto in 2005. But last night he chose Portugal to expose himself as a secret Celt.

The player, snapped up by Rangers in his teens, said: "It was a sweet match for me to play in. I'm a proud Celtic fan and always will be. But Rangers were the team to come in for me and I enjoyed my time there. That's just how football works.

"I wanted to do well at Ibrox and did my best for Rangers. But I always supported Celtic as a kid and went to watch as many matches as I could."

Would be good to see him up here but just depends how much Leeds are asking for him after the season he's had. Nearly 30 goals for a club sitting as low as Leeds are in the table is * superb.

Could arguably be a replacement for Commons, who I have every faith in but he is pretty much the oldest starting player in the squad and while Ross ain't exactly young himself, Lenny could see him as a replacement.

To which point, regardless of his past I would happily welcome him and love him and hope he will go on to have an impact much like Commons.

Bet you cheered every goal Kenny Miller scored for Celtic though?

Thats a sore one that :31: looking at about a combined market value of at least £15m there.

Think we would be outbid for McCormack but a smashing wee player none the less.

true it will be difficult to get leeds to sell, i don't believe he is a sporadic first team player in his contract

Troy deeney for watford? hit 20+ for the last two seasons in the championship. Apparently villa are looking at him but could the lure of european football tempt him?

Ezequiel Rescaldani for Malaga 21 seems like a good player and is out of contract in the summer so could go cheap

You've clearly never seen Bangura in a Celtic shirt then!? :smiley-laughing002:

To be fair to Mame Biram Diouf, since he's gone to Germany he's had a cracking strike record in both the Bundesliga and the Europa League. Would be the type of striker that would make the difference for us in Europe!

Not a chance we're getting him now though... Wolfsburg have supposedly offered him 4m Euros a year (or just under 77,000 Euros a week) to sign for them... theres no chance we'll be able to match that! Proves he must be doing something right though to be offered them sort of terms!
