Every penny reinvested mate. Trust Pete. He wouldn't try and pull the wool over the fans eyes.

Hang on... shouldn't the spend apply to the next year in each case?

Does that mean we can expect £23m spent in this window?

You think our only expenditures are transfer fees? How naive

Do you think transfer fees are our only source of income?

Our only income isn't transfer fees either, we should have enough cash from Cl, season ticks, sponsors to spend some cash.

We have the ability for big transfer fees. What we can't do is pay big wages for 3-5 year contracts. Add in a few of them, don't reach UCL for a few years in a row and Celtic FC is going the way of sevco.

Lawwell never said the transfer money was spent on Players. Listen again to what he said.

He said every penny we made on transfers went back INTO THE CLUB. That could be anything from Players - Lennoxtown - Staff at Parkhead. Anything and anyone but not necessarily on Players.

Especially if the player was to get injured a lot.

The £4million fee would be crippling if the player ended up * with injury never mind the £30k a week.

A signing like Negri would be a massive disaster nowadays. The old club paid £4million for him, were probably back then paying him about £15k a week and he spent 4 year there, only played about 40 games and then got paid off with about 6 months of his contract left. He probably cost them about £9million and only played 40 games and never won anything.
