Aye the only player "bought" for money was Telfer from Sevco to Dundee Utd who was free but cost compensation, dont even know if anys been paid but it'll probably only be about £60k.

English Premier teams have spent something like 8,000 x more money.

For every £5er we're spending they're spending £40k

That's what happens anyway. Lenny left because Lawwell a) wouldn't give him his targets and b) to compound the frustration, sold his best players from under him.

Lawwell has complete control of Celtic Football Club, Desmond trusts him totally and has given him remit to do as he sees fit. It worked well for a while but now he's * up massively and deserves criticism in the same measure as the praise came before.

That was only eating into our earlier profits though, and it was Lawwell's decision to split the risk on numerous little signings instead of 1 big one. I fail to see why we couldn't have gone for 1 "big" signing - say 5 million fee and 30-35k wages. That would not have crippled us at all and even if he had flopped it would have been easier to get rid of him than to get rid of all these flops like Pukki, Derk, Balde, Fridj, Griffiths, Stokes, Mulgrew, Kayal, Izzy - you really think it's better to have 25 * players all eating up probably over 100k a week than to have 1 or 2 players of genuine quality.

Spending 11 million last summer hasn't put us into debt - but ironically not spending a penny this summer has cost us 15 million, resulted in us going back to square one of completely rebuilding a side like we were in 2010 post-Mowbray. The board have cost us all the forward momentum Lennon had gained as a club, we've gone from one of the best ran and most respected clubs in Europe to a * shambles in the space of 18 months.

No it doesn't the Thumb likes to play on the last man and has better movement around the penalty box. An most likely will be in the box when crosses are put in.

Many time when a Stokes is playing up top on his own, he'll still come out to receive the ball try and create, by the time the ball get put in the box he's not there.

Griffiths can play the lone role a lot better than Stokes. He's done it at clubs before Celtic and his pace and movement help.
