Top Players That You Think Are Overrated?

I think Puyol is generally called out for what he is. He's reckless and all that but he bleeds for that team and having a guy like that out there is invaluable. He'll go to battle for any of his team mates and covers the softness of most of Barca's players virtually by himself. Nobody says he has the pure traits of Maldini but his intangibles are as good as they can possibly be.

 

Has to be ibrahimovic for me. So frustrating to watch him play. Hes a cross between berbatov and samaras. Hes a lazy * with the control of a baby giraffe on ice. Seems to produce a moment of class every month or so which makes him look like a genius on youtube though . Not his biggest fan lol

 

i've seen valdes name a few times, do these people even watch him?, yes he made too many mistake in the past, but, over the last few seasons he's been great, best keeper in spain the last 2years, and i cant beleive that valdes has been mentioned but casillas hasnt, yes he looks world class sometimes, but he makes far more mistakes than valdes, plus there were calls in spain last year for valdes to take over from casillas as spains no1

 

disagree, one of the best CB's in the world imo, the amount of last ditch challenges he make is unbeleivable, plus he always seems to pull out a great performance in big games, something that cant always be said for vidic, terry, ferdinand etc, another one who is like puyol with regards to the big games is Lucio

Best I've seen him explained mate.

Always seems to get ranked in the top 2-3 CB's in the world. Don't think on ability he is there but he's Barca through and through and that brings a whole new dimension to his game for Barca.

Don't think he would be the same if you needed to put him in Valencia's defense for example; think he would be called out as just a good player. Not world class.

Agree with ll but Nani, Nani's been brilliant for Man U and is still young, i think he'll go on to be a brilliant player. His only downfall, Diving....

 

I dont know how people can say Frank Lampard. Over the past 7 seasons has scored 15+ goals and the in the last 5 seasons has scored 20+. Unbelievable player, has a high number of assists aswell

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Ribery.

The only time I ever see these guys playing is when they're playing for Sweden/France and they are * 80-90% of the time.

 

Ibrahimovic definitely, Robinho is a sand dancer with no bottle whatsoever. Lucio, don't think he's nearly as good as people have suddenly made him out to be this last year. Anelka, I don't even know if you'd class him as a top player as he only ever scores against the wee teams, likewise with Adebayor.

That reminds me..ROBBEN! The most one dimensional player I've ever seen. Has the ball on the right, is he going to run down the wing, no! He's going to cut in on his left as it's the only foot that he can use. The worst player I've ever seen for being greedy with the ball, a diving little * into the bargain, always hated him ever since the Pepe Reina incident, scummy little *.

 

I seem to be on my own here when I say Torres, he's good but nowhere near what everyone says he is, be it word of mouth or the media hype machine says. Seems to get injured a fair bit too.

Carlos Tevez. He's got the skill, but as this EPL football betting blog says, he's not got the attitude. A mouthy little so and so who'll never achieve all he can if he doesn't learn to keep calm.

 

Tevez has been one of Man City's standouts man. Attitude is irrelevant I think.
