Must admit, this surprised me also, as I noted in an earlier post (dated 2/1/10), but by my count think its now 7 people have nominated Bellamy, and as there was no specific criteria, its open to interperetation. Would people's opinion have differed had he remained longer, lost form, had some of his off field distractions etc... Impossible to tell, but in many ways, I can see how some view him like a 'shooting star across our skies' of the decade.

Must say i am very surprised to see McGeady in alot of people's lists. Yes he is a good player but he is only standing out in a * team let's face it. In my opinion he wouldn't have got into MON teams, he is a winger who can't cross a ball. Can only imagine how * off Larsson, Sutton and Hartson would have been with the service....

He made his debut while O'Neill was manager and I would have played him on the right ahead of Agathe.

Thought Id revise over the results of this survey to date, adding to my observations earlier posted.

    1. Larsson remained the only player to be universally included on all member's top 10... And rightfully so.
    2. 5 others rated inclusion on 30+ members top 10.
    3. 24 players were named in total.
    4. Just 6 players named debuted for Celtic in the post MON era
    5. Only 6 of the current squad have been included
    6. Mjalby has overtaken Balde as the most popular defender.
    7. Couple of special mentions for MON & WGS also. :50:

Anyhow, make what you will of it:

    Larsson 44, Moravcik & Sutton 38, Petrov 36, Hartson 35, Boruc 31, Lennon 29, Nakamura & Thompson 27, McGeady 26, Lambert 22, Mjalby 17, Balde 13, Bellamy 8, Agathe & Valgaeren 5, Maloney & McDonald 4, McNamara 2, JVOH, Samaras, Petta, McCourt, Viduka.

What when he was 18? Not a chance in *. He was a circus act at that age, his game was all about beating his man. Infact even Strachan recognised this when he first arrived and McGeady was a constant sub behind the likes of Maloney and Nakamura and quite rightly so. I think Strachan taught McGeady a lesson and has made him a far better player than what he was under MON.
