Whats the odds on him scoring 25ish goals and signing for an EPL team for £10million+ :56: we'd get basically heehaw as well as any sell on clause we included was used when Liege sold him to Charlton

Could we do anything about that ? Seems like it should be illegal or at the very least against Fifa rules.

No but it does seem fishy in hindsight as he was always a promising player and I think the same people own both clubs so for them signing him and then selling him to their other team :97: slight dodgy.

If he is sold at the end of the season Celtic would only get like 2% for the training compensation as he was a Celtic player from age 17-20

Said before. Wish he had stayed around. Would score for fun in this team. Strikers like him don't come through in this country anymore.

I think RD would have been the difference between him going to the top and what he will have now - a very decent championship career.

Which is all we'd deserve, in fairness. If he makes it to the top it'll not be because of us, we discarded him like a used johnny because he didn't run round the cones well enough.

If he makes it to the top it'll be because he's found a club where they see his talent and are happy to work with him to reap the benefits.

I suppose you would rather have the likes of Scepovic at the club instead huh? :smiley-laughing002:

Only issue with that is, it's not a straight choice.

I don't want Watt or Scepovic, neither are good enough.

He'll get a better move soon. Thought he'd do well at Charlton. One of the big guns in that league could do a lot worse than having Watt in their squad's..

If he doesn't shape up off the pitch then he won't get a big club. There have been better players than him dismissed because of it.

I hate what happened to him here. When he first burst on the scene he looked so good for such a young lad, and of course there was the Barca goal. Thought he'd become a legend here, but his attitude and application was obviously a big hindrance. Its strange because on the pitch he's actually one of the hardest working players there is.

Think if Ronny was here a season earlier Watt would have screwed the nut and he'd be here now. Its obvious he fell out with Lennon. I did find it very odd that as soon as Ronny came in, Watt was out the door pretty much instantly. I think Ronny could have definitely worked his magic with Tony, but Pedro saw the ££ for a young guy with not many first team appearances and that was it. In my opinion he'd be the best striker at the club if he was still here. Not many players have that exciting aura about them when the ball is at their feet, he had it. If he keeps rattling them in for Charlton I can definitely see him getting a move to a bigger club, the talent is there and he's still so young.

Imagining Watt fully fit in this system makes me sad. Because we (and himself) * up what could have been a very good thing.

Well Scepovic is actually a Celtic player, so yes. I said I don't miss him, I didn't even mention our current players.

I always liked him. Think we should have given him a season under Ronny to get him fit.

ronny never liked what he seen and that's something as johanson apparently had a bad reputation before ronny got to him
