Tony Watt and Celtic just weren't meant to be it seems.

I wish him all the best in Belgium. Hopefully he uses that league as a springboard to bigger things. He definitely has the ability and we can be sure he isn't there for a massive pay cheque either.

Don't know what I think about Tony being sold to be honest.

His attitude must be the problem as we all know he has the talent. A shame really.

Don't understand the reactions from some.

    Raging? Devastated?

    * *, he's done nothing since scoring a goal a year and a half ago and seems to be a bit of a *. We got a good deal.

Aye, apparently at the Xmas night out last year Watt scanted Lawwell and put him in a crippler crossface.

He's been on his way out the door ever since. :54:

    Just seen it.

Absolutely the wrong decision if he does go.
He's a great player with loads of potential surely making his attitude better is the right thing to do instead of offloading him to Standard Liege.

In one way as a scottish fan it's good but in another is bad.

Now if Standard can sort him out then that'd be a real sucker punch!

Jesus *, people are getting on as if it is Henrik leaving us or something. I want him to stay as well but * chill out, its not a major loss. He hasn't proven himself and obviously Ronny can't be annoyed with his *, so he can go on and make a career for himself elsewhere

Hopefully have a buy back clause or something because there is definitely a good player there. Good luck to him if this is true

Why bother even playing him yesterday if he is out the door?

Celtic have agreed a fee of £1.2million with Standard Liege for striker Tony Watt and are bracing themselves for a double bid from Southampton for prized assets Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk.

The deal for Watt was thrashed out late last night and the player will fly to Belgium this morning to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

The talented 20-year-old striker had a loan spell at Liege’s rivals Lierse last season during which time he impressed with eight goals for Stanley Menzo’s team.

He also had several well-publicised bust-ups with Menzo when the coach questioned the Scotland under-21 international’s attitude, but his on-field ability ultimately caught the eye of Liege.

Well this certainly clears up a few things. For one of the big clubs in Belgium to want him at that price in spite of all his disciplinary problems (which they must be aware of) speaks volumes about his talent and potential; for Deila to want rid so quickly speaks volumes about his attitude.

    It's all terribly disappointing.

Listen, we have sweet * all up front, bar a couple link up men. Who is going to lead the line for our paltry side in Europe? We've sold our best penalty box striker for a mill. Why?

He hasn't proven himself enough to be labelled that.

I liked him, he always looked good. But his attitude stinks, dunno why he's like that man.
