Bitterly disappointed about this. I rate him highly and really wanted him to make it here, something must be wrong with his head man. So yeah gutted but I trust Ronny

Celtic have agreed a fee of £1.2million with Standard Liege for striker Tony Watt and are bracing themselves for a double bid from Southampton for prized assets Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk.
The deal for Watt was thrashed out late last night and the player will fly to Belgium this morning to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

That's the most worrying thing about all this. I'm sure Ronny thought he could sort him out but to make up his mind so early? He must be a real disruptive influence or something.

Exactly man what the *? Must be a total *, thought RD was the man to transform the lad like he did with Johansen. Wasted talent.

For him to be let go so soon tells it's own story. A shame Watt can't or won't accept discipline and in years to come if he does make it elsewhere he'll forever regret his own stupidity whilst with us.

Pretty sure Ronny gave him enough chances and he had to stick by his warnings that any nonsense from anyone and they simply won't be wearing the famous Hoops.

When you read between the lines of some of the things Ronny has been saying in pre season (faint praise wrapped in criticism) it's clear to see he wasn't happy with him. The manager has spoke of him having to work on his discipline, not hearing him properly (not listening maybe?) to name a couple of instances.

Easy to see now with the benefit of hindsight but very telling all the same.

Never seen the guy have a bad game for Celtic. When played as a striker his goals to game ratio was quality.

    So you keep saying

    * off about this..

Best young striker to.come out of.Celtic that i can remember, one of Scotlands hottest talents..
Proved he can more than cut it in.a Celtic jersey and abroad in.Belgium at a decent level.for an unfancied side..

What is equally annoying is we seem to.buy and sell well but when it comes to.selling out.own talents we get dreadful prices..
Deny Johnstone we are barely getting a penny for when 6 months, a year ago we could have sold him for decent money to.championship, big sides like.Birmingham..
It happens all the time, we get barely fuckall for there talents..
Watt.is never a mill striker, starting at 3 for me easy..
19, strong, fast, good.technique, scores goals, bullys defenders, good.in the air etc etc, seems to have poor attitude but millions.of.players do, doesn't stop big clubs buying.ballotelli (no.comparison of.course ability.wise), yet we seem to be taking the.first measly offer..

    Bad loss and terrible business..

    Rant.over

I don't think his talent is the problem here.

Yeah that what I was meaning. But someone who is supposed to be a diehard tim surely won't * it up? I as most other celtic fans would do anything & give my all to play for the club.

Could we nite have worked harder with.him though, this was supposed to.ve one of ronnys specialties..
He.must be hard work, no denying that but selling hin a few weeks in seems quite rash.and maybe.ronny is being buzzed by people behind the scenes filling his.head ..

Easy.to say.from here but.could he not.have sent him to the championship in England, told him gis career here is.in jeopardy and if.he comes back.from his.loan as he was before he.left then he's done.. Add to.that the.inflated market down south and tonys talents..If he.didn't fix.up we could.have been.looking at getting.4 mill.or.so.for.him..

    Frustrating, really is..

I remember watching that youtube video of Scott brown and Adam Matthews describing their team-mates with one word and when referring to Tony Watt the both described him as 'one-goal', which banter though it may be, seemed to come across as quite derisory and said with not much humour. Now for the captain and class-clown of the team to refer to a player like that, sort of suggests some degree of exclusion/alienation. Which is a shame. Really wish Tony Watt wasn't a *.

Well we will get twelve times what we paid for him , so on that basis we have done well.
Tony Watt was an exciting footballer who had the ability to go to the very top . Unfortunately it isn't just today or yesterday that he showed he hadn't the mental ability to act in the way a young professional should . From what has been said he among other things had a bad attitude to other young players and that could well be the final straw for Ronnie . However he hasn't signed anything yet in Belguim so I wouldn't count our chickens yet .
I was glad to see about the move as I think we are probably just starting a whole range of selling players not sure of having a good future with us , and buying one or two to strengthen the team .

Hopefully just a kick in the * for Tony. "Go if you like, sign the contract. Or stay and prove a point that you're here to fight for your place."
