Your right, but in SPL it shouldn't take more than a season.

If we don't win the league but show a marked improvement in our results would you still think the same or would you be willing to say that we were heading in the right direction, lets build on it?

    Genuinely curious.

It shouldn't take more than a season to rebuild the team?

Assuming you don't want it to take longer than a season, how are we also supposed to gain instant success (this years league title), as well as making all of these changes so quickly?

Depends on the circumstances, if we win every game until the end of the season by him suddenly changing his tactics and way of thinking then yes i would be prepared to support him next season.

Our two previous managers both won the league in their first season,MON won the treble :50:

We are only playing in the spl this season it's not rocket science, with the quality we have it SHOULD have been a peice of cake.

So why not just support him to the end of the season then and see what happens, we might see the improvement we all want, can't do any harm to get behind them at least until the end of the season.

I agree dani, he should be given till the end of the season, i haven't said otherwise.

What i have been arguing against is the people who want him to stay on next season no matter what happens.

it doesnt matter if we want to get shot of him now or not? its the simple fact the board decide this and are showing him support so we will see him in the dug out for next season regardless of what we think.

great post. I am sick of the losing team needing radical surgery and major transitional period dung people are serving. MON and WGS took over losing teams. Respectively they had made 8 and 7 changes to the first pick 11 of the previous boss in the same timeframe Mogga has had. Mogga has probably actually done about the same in terms of transformation. The difference is he has done it very badly and lost us the league while MON and WGS did it well and won it by miles. Transformation is no excuse. He slagged his core players months before he could replace them, he invested big money on Fortune a 2nd striker of a sort we already had and failed to buy a poacher or a quality CH. In the 2nd window he sold all our natural leaders, shipped out 2 CBs and brought in one (not counting rookies here). He basically weakend us in this already weak position. He then sold our best LB who he himself only signed in the summer. He also sold our only poacher - we do not have a single poacher on the permanent books. In all he sold four of our first 11 or 12 players on the sheet from our pre-window on-form team in January. He breaks up a good CM combo he had stumbled on and starts tinkering. He brings in a terrible LB loan and he brings in a glamour loan which means he benches his perm stiker signing. Another loan is a (sort of) winger. Winger is the last place we need to strengthen. I think Mogga has a reasonable eye for a good player nut its been pure idiocy the way the window has been managed. It like there was no real interest in this seasons title. For that, Mogga has to go IMO.

I honestly think Mogga is building a good team. Thinking ahead i think we should sign all our loanees as the price seems right. Also there is still some deadwood that should be shifted koki, loovens, naylor, sammy (if keano stays), hutch, mcmanus. We could get a nice wee sum for the lot.

In the summer if we sign peterson on a bosman and a rock solid center half then i think we will romp the league next season.

What does worry me is his ability to cope with pressure. Another bad result and i think he will resign. I hope he motivates the team for a big finish to the league because its not over yet. It would be a shame cos his team/style is on the right track. There is good youngsters at the club. If he leaves and a new man comes in it will be a waste of a season and a waste of money.

Bottom line is if we fight for the title and dont slip up, he should stay

with the defence we are now stuck with we are almost certain to lose the OF game (probably something liker 5-3). I think that may be his last game. There is really no excuse for his problems. He has faced no bigger issues than WGS or MON when they took over and did a huge overhaul of the side. The mess he has made of this season can only be matched in modern times by the early and mid 90s. The situation with a defence that suddenly makes Caldwell, Mick and Fox look like world beaters is of Mogga and Lawells own making. They gambled on a very complicated revolving door window from a position where we couldnt afford to gamble and they lost and tried to patch it up with loans.

Mogga just goes to show you how much more leeway, tolerance and blind faith the support will give a manager if he ticks the Celtic man/Celtic way boxes. He really has not had it difficult. All that has happened is he has made an * of it. Can you imagine the vibes if WGS was this bad in his first season? He would have needed an armed escort.

    blinkers

People with blinkers on or green tinted specs dont want to see the whole picture or facts, and watching the football, which I just can't understand how we can stand up for him, may as well stick it out till the end of the season, unless it really gose all pear shaped, which would'nt surprise me one bit.
