I can see your point mate, but a lost league is a lost league. when I think back when we lost the league on goal difference some years back it doesn't change the fact the history books got them down as champs.

not denying it's embarrassing being 7 points behind them.

I understand that. But he already said he's going to build his team, make a new squad. That requires few transfer windows. Team needs time to gel, he's building for the future.

When he came here everybody knew, including board and fans, that he wants to make his own team and make a success here. And most of our fans welcomed it.

Changes had to be made, no point in keeping wee ginger's squad and style. Why not just keep Strachan or promote Pendrey to manager? Many of our fans now want Barnes and him back, I mean come on!

I'll be very disappointed if he gets sacked or even more disappointed if he resigns as there are signs of good squad and future looks bright. There's no point in bringing someone new in who would make his new squad and if he fails - fans would want him sacked. And circle would go over and over.

the bare fact is we are effectively 10 points behind the worst rangers side in 25 years, transitional season or not that is tottally unacceptable.when we were in thir position they dominated outright we should be taking advantage of their ills and doing the same,he's had plenty of money to spend.even if hibs win today they are 2 points behind with a game in hand and we are looking at third.which will be our worst finish post mccann dragging the club into the modern era.
i take it all mowbrays backers gave the same support to dr jo and john barnes,if not, why.dr jo played some good stuff sometimes but just couldn't win enough games, john barnes also played some good stuff occasionally but ultimately lost the dressing room.do both these scenarios sound familiar.

If people on this forum are stupid enough to think Celtic will win the league every season they need to wake up and smell the coffee because we're not going to win it every season, at the moment anyway. If we'd carried on with the team from last season I think we'd be in a worse position than we are now. We won 3 in a row with WGS and his team then he lost the 4th because things went stale and the players were not performing, things needed freshened up with a new manager and new players. That's what is happening now. Did people just expect all these new signings to hit the ground running and gel and we would go on to win the league easily? Get a grip. Not only does the team have to get to know each other they've had to put up with bad luck, injuries and crap refereeing decisions.

This was always going to happen sooner or later and I am willing to sacrifice the league this season for 5 more. Rangers are going to have to do the same at some point and they will lose most of their "star" players in the summer and will struggle to replace them.

I just can't understand those who are still backing Mugga.

We've won FOUR away games since the end of August ffs!!!! That's pathetic in it's own right.

He's failed at every away game against the 'better' sides in the league, those are the games which win titles.

I don't see anything which suggest it's going to get any better, IMO he'll be gone at the end of the season as the board will know a lot of fans won't renew their season book with this idiot in charge.

There is no chance we will finish 3rd. I think if we can win the 2 old firm games Rangers will buckle under the pressure and we will win the league.

Let big Tony get on with his job. He knows the defence is * and he'll b workin on that. He put forward to names to the board in Jan, Ramis and St Ledger, and the board failed to deliver.

This defence will improve. After the Rangers game at Parkhead everyone was goin on about how we need to start takin our chances and if we score goals we'll win the league. So we got our strikers.

I know we need a Centre half, possibly 2 but I bet Mowbray knows that too.

Keep the faith in the big man. If he was to go though I'd like to see us go for someone like Rijkaard and show a bit of ambition.

This is our worst season in 10 years, infact it's probably worse than the Barnes season as Rangers could actually spend money then, do you expect us not to moan or something?

We've got an idiot in charge of our football club who has delivered the most disappointing season I can remember, if you don't want to moan at that you must have very low expectations of Celtic Football Club.

He'll come good? Where you getting that indication from can I ask?

You sound like one of the 'faithful through & through' mob, you need to realise it's faithful through & through to the club, and not individuals who stand in the way of success for the club, and that means Mowbray.

    He's a total clown.

I said earlier when the gap was 10 points that if he didn't close gap to atleast 4 of 5 points by the end of the season then he has to go especially with the 3 loan signing we made on transfer deadline day there is simply no excuse

I can't see this. In fact, it's the opposite that's happening. We've become worse.

Then and only then, he should stay as he'll have turned it around.

But IMO it's never going to happen, I can't see this Tony Mowbray side winning at Ibrox.

Huns will win today and go 10 clear, no doubt. Walter Smith knows how to approach games like these, Mugga is clueless at best.

We need a 'make do with what you have' manager who can quickly organise the team, solidify the defense, and have us go on long winning streaks, like Strachan used to. A win is a win, achieved by ugly or beautiful football. The thing is, only ugly football works in the SPL.

no we don't expect to win the league every year but what we do expect is to make a decent fist of it if we're not we also don't think it acceptable to be this far behind(in points and on the park)as a rangers who as a club don't have a pot to * in.
