Read an article about this is some rag this morning.

A good point was made that we would have never won the European Cup if Jock banned them from drinking on days off!

    And yes times have changed.

With the constant analysis of the Dundee Utd game last week and his "two footed" tackle. Wouldn't put it passed Madden sending him off today.

Perfectly handled once again by Ronny. He has no rule about players enjoying themselves on a day off but Broony should be more careful in future about the situations he gets himself in.

I'm sure one or two in here were peddling the "lost the dressing room", "player revolt" line earlier in the season because Ronny and JC were apparently two cold, callous fitness freaks who were driving the players away with their fascist rules. I might be mistaken though.

    Loved this bit.

Meaning the players will be getting sent to bed but Ronny, JC and Kennedy will be staying up getting *. :smiley-laughing002:

He has dealt with it well. Was very impressed with the way he answered the questions before the game and dealt with it there and then so we would all concentrate on the game and winning the trophy.

No one except the people buying into the Suns pish believe that that Brown doesn't respect his position with the club.

Let's be honest though, when you use the term model professional you really are talking about the likes of Henrik Larsson and players of his ilk. Brown, as good as he is, doesn't quite come into that category.

The very notion of seeing Larsson in that kind of position or state is absolutely laughable, because the guy was the epitome of a model professional, both on and off the pitch.

I guess that's why he was playing for Barcelona at the age of 33, and Manchester United at the age of 36, not to mention playing in three world cups and three European Championships.

Only the top players who really take their own personal fitness and health seriously manage to achieve such heights. Few British-born players fall into that category.

So because Brown had a day off to get * and have a kebab he isn't a model professional?

The fact some prowling paparazzi got a bad picture of him after a night out doesn't mean Brown isn't a model professional. He is an absolute credit to this club.
