The issue we have if we start both McGregor and Hatate is we will only get a maximum of 60mins from McGregor and slightly more from Hatate. I know he played at livi but this game will be 100mph for at least the first 30mins and livi was not an intense game at all. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start with McGregor and Bernardo being replaced by Iwata and Hatate around 60 mins. For me playing both McGregor and Hatate together from the off is a massive risk.

I would like us to have a proper midfield enforcer for this one. Iwata also deserves a chance to show what he can do in a big game.

Think that's likely best option the problem is if we are behind in the game there no way he's taking Mcgregor off when we need a goal

Let both of them come off the bench. The game starts at 0-0, and there's no reason why we couldn't opt for a strong second half and win the game then.

    I'm struggling with this one.

I'd maybe look to start with Iwata and McGregor first off.

Then let's see how our captain goes and if he's looking leggy or we maybe want to go more compact and go central later into the game, we could look at taking Kuhn off for Hatate

It’s our best midfield 3. I do think O’Rileys been off it lately but reckon he’ll up his game. Mcgregor has to start if fit and same with Hatate so I reckon Iwata will give way

Opportunity lost though if we’re bringing our best midfielders on late if we’re behind in the game. Start with our best team. I myself would like to see Iwata ahead of O’Riley purely on form so Iwata Mcgregor and Hatate. But I can almost guarantee O’Riley starts. If so Iwata will give way for Mcgregor and Hatate 100% starts especially after his performance last week

For me if all fit McGregor starts ahead of Iwata, has bossed both games. Think Clement might be too arrogant to try and man-mark McGregor out of the game and that could be pivotal again..

Iwata to come on last 30 help us shore things up.. hopefully to help protect a lead..

It's about resource management. We don't have to play our very best players from the start if they are not fit to play the full match. Our depth in midfield is great. By starting Bernardo and O'Riley in front of Iwata, we can ensure a solid first half, and then let loose Calmac and Hatate when the former two start to tire out. Rangers have far worse players on the bench.

Not sure about that, think he’s shrewd enough to recognise that they gave him free rein in the previous two games and he’ll put someone on him.

Good options to have, but would rather Hatate starts, he can run rings round them.

Hatate will Def start. The game against Livingston showed he is fit enough. Even if it is just for an hour. If McGregor is fit he will also start. Iwata has done well enough but he neither has the creativity of Hatate or the drive of CalMac. He also seems very passive and lax at times. He won't get any time on Sunday and there is a chance he gets bypassed.

Iwata will definitely get game time, McGregor and Hatate won't play 90mins.. Iwata and Bernardo will likely replace them.

I agree unlikely Hatate will last 90 minutes. Different with McGregor, he hasn't missed as much time out as Reo and as long as his injury if fine won't have an issue lasting the 90 minutes. Iwata or Bernardo will prob come on for Hatate, which one will depend on whether we are ahead or behind at the time.

If McGregor is fit there is no question he starts and it is Tomo who drops out which would only strength our bench which hopefully should also see Palma return as well.

Let Calmac start and after an hour take him off and stick Iwata on.
