It might be the case, but all the players will be missing him, as will Strachan who was very close to him.

Still no excuse to insult your manager. If you are having a problem there is a time and a place for him to discuss that if need be.

What about Scott Brown, he lost his sister to cancer last season and I'm sure he's gotten his head ripped off for some of his performances last season and this year but no public spats with the manager.

remember aswell, both tommy and aidan were brought up the "celtic way" twisting and turning on the style, they have always been loyal to celtic ,they are 2 peas in a pod.the more i think about it the more it makes sence

it dosent excuse what ever mcgeady said or done ,but i can understand it a wee bit

Definitely could be attributing to it but I wouldn't say it was 'delayed' he has been distraught about since it happened.

I think a bigger problem might have been Aiden's tendency to rely on others to back him up. He needs to learn to take responsibility because his dad, his agent and Tommy when he was here have all led him by the hand up until this point.

Maybe he is having issues, genuine ones, ones that need understanding from the manager and dealt with in a delicate manner etc etc

In such a scenario, the player needs to communicate this and from his comments to you, I dont think he did. He thinks the manager just has a problem with him rather than looking in the mirror and thinking "am I giving it 100%". If he's going to clubs and nights on the town a la Ronaldinho, he isnt giving 100% and if he cant see that, he's not the player he or anyone here thinks he is.

The manager is having a go because he has regressed as a player this season compared to last season, that is undeniable, and his response to this is to blame the manager and hurl abuse??

I dont see anything to suggest that McGeady has acted in a professional manner or to suggest that he is a model professional.

Strachan developed his game to the point of player of the season, he needs to continue to listen to his guidance or he will fizzle out. He does need to talk to Strachan and more importantly he needs to listen to what he has to say and take it onboard or he becomes an also ran with a chip on his shoulder.
