    400,000 for a boy who is only 20 and tipped to go on to be the next big thing in Australian football is a steal, I'm a bit confused at why lennon thinks he's good enough yet still wants to trial him when other clubs are interested. A deal might already have been agreed behind the scenes though, might be work permit issues etc, delaying it.

    I think the thing about Agudelo and Rojic perhaps to a smaller extent will be good signings for marketing reasons. Selling celtic shirts in the states with Agudelo on them can only be good for Celtic - look at how well it worked for Naka.

    I know what you mean but I'd rather we spent money on a good striker. Now Agudelo could turn out to be really good in a couple of years, but he doesn't look like the type of player we need just now - his scoring record is * poor.

    Yeah I agree, especially since we already have hooper, stokes, lassad, watt and perhaps even miku ahead of him. I'd say that if Agudelo arrives, Miku will be on the first plane back to Getafe though...

    Looks like we have plenty competition now. I know it is good to get a look at a player before we sign them but maybe we should have just went for it and handed over the 400k in the first place. Waiting this extra bit longer has attracted more clubs. Sometimes you just have to go for it.

    I can tell you guys now that the Australian football community is not happy in the way Celtic are stalling... They think its a bit insulting as he has been hailed as the socceroos shining light as the country has gone into meltdown because their haven't been alot of youngsters demanding first team football in Europe and so not pushing the dead wood out of the National Team. So for him to come out of obscurity has sent everyone into a frenzy in Aus to the extent that the National team coach has "begged" the media and Australians to not put so much pressure on Rogic. so yeah..... :smiley-laughing002:

    I don't think Celtic are stalling.

    From what I can gather, Lennon has been given glowing reports about this lad, but wants to keep him on trial for an extra week so that Lennon can get to physically-interact with him and have a look at him with his own eyes (as I'm sure I read somewhere that the time he was to be originally with us on trial that Lennon's time schedule would mean that he wasn't getting the chance to meet him or something).

    I'm sure if we genuinely want to get him, then we will get the offer in soon :50:
