    So he should.

To be fair, I would be hating it if I was a Mariners supporter. Losing 3 of your better players to overseas trial midway through your domestic season is rough.

    Celtic's gain though. :50:

Definitely, I can see him suit our style of football more than the belgian league as well

CENTRAL Coast Mariners rising star Tom Rogic could make Celtic's first XI as soon as next Tuesday when the Scottish giants take on Romanian side Steaua Bucharest in a friendly.

Rogic has joined the Scottish giants for a training camp in Spain and the Glasgow outfit want him to line up for the friendly, although the Mariners are said to oppose the call-up.

Celtic are keen to accelerate the transfer process and the game would provide the perfect opportunity to run the rule over his capabilities before the club makes a final decision on his future.

“There is no point in having him here if we can’t sign him right away,” assistant Johan Mjallby told the UK'sDaily Mail.

“If he is good enough, why not go for it straight away? I don’t know the figures or his contract situation, but, hopefully he could be a gem for us, fingers crossed.

”The young Aussie is also the target of EPL side Reading but it appears Celtic may have the jump on their English rivals.

“It’s a good sign that a Premiership club are interested,” Mjallby added.“If he’s good enough, hopefully there will be a good chance we can do something right now instead of in the future.

"The reports say he's a player who should suit us. He can open up defences. I've heard very good reports and the sooner we see him, the better.

"He's a creative midfielder and the Australian boys are always very fit.

"Rogic is due back in Australia on January 17, two days before the F3 derby with Newcastle Jets at Bluetongue Stadium but his start for that game could be in jeopardy if he plays in the Steaua match.

His agent Andy Bernal said it was time to let the player, who is currently serving a three match ban, enjoy his football.

“He’s meeting and greeting everyone at Celtic,” Bernal said.

“You know what, let him just enjoy himself.

"He’s gone over and what better way to spend your time away from Australia when you’re suspended than in Spain.”

Bernal confirmed that Reading are still in the hunt and that others may also been interested in the midfield ace.

“With good players there are always options,” he said.

Just saw this on Twitter that Fulham are interested. Heard good things about him, and two EPL clubs in for him are good signs if we can pull this one off.

Forget Lee McBollock, he's old news and none of our concern anymore.

Now if he did it to Pirlo..............

Fulham and Club Brugge want him , looks like we will need to match the £400,000 Reading had offered for him .

    Great player.

He signed for Reading a few years back after he won the Nike Chance competition, but it got cancelled due to not being able to get a work permit.

    Good signing and good investment.

Also, the A-League teams are at least on par if not better than all of the other SPL teams apart from Celtic.
