[Link] Tom Rogic

EXCITING Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic this morning leaves for Europe having almost certainly played his last game for Central Coast Mariners.

The Gosford-based club appears to be the most affected by the January transfer window with Rogic's move to Scottish league leader Celtic all but sealed, while Matt Ryan could be sold before Saturday's crunch game against Melbourne Victory.

Negotiations continued overnight with the Mariners seeking a higher fee for Ryan than the $100,000 offered by Danish club Randers.

Rogic, who is serving the third of a three-game ban this week, departs Sydney at 10am today to join Celtic at a training camp in Spain with the club merely wanting to see him before paying the Mariners' transfer valuation.

Celtic is confident of obtaining a work permit for the 20-year-old, who last week rejected a transfer to relegation-bound English Premier League club Reading.

Good luck to the lad. I know hehaw about him. Will try watch the youtube video but my router will probably have a heart attack.

 

Starting to like the look of this guy. Looks to have the creativity that we need. Doesn't seem to have blistering pace but I don't think that's what we need since teams put ten men behind the ball anyway. What he does look to have is a big frame and a bit of strength which we could use in that situation. I hope it works out.

Also for people saying he is too left footed he made a few passes and scored two goals with his right. More than Ledley ever does :icon_mrgreen:

 

If we can get him cheap enough I think would be worth taking on seeing as we will be getting rid of the likes of ibrahim, mc court, twardzik, not to mention wanyama probably going in the summer. Take him on £5000 a month and see he can do for a year

Mariners are skint so I doubt it will take a huge offer to get him.

 

Twardzik's going nowhere. Signed a contract extension until 2015 in October and one of the best youngsters we've got.

As the previous poster said I very much doubt twardzik will be going anywhere. He's one of our better youth players and he was getting game time until he picked up an injury that hes had to have surgery on and has ruled him out till february.

 

Genuinely excited about this potential signing,been doing a bit of studying on him over the Internet and he seems very highly thought of as being the next big thing!

Hope it goes well for him at the training camp in Spain so we can tie up another young promising youngster into the squad!

Cahill is a lot stronger at heading than Rogic

 

Looks decent well worth a look at him.

 

He's still a young lad, and he seems to be a pretty big lad especially for an attacking mid.

 

Had to laugh at this. Rogic and two of Mariners other top players are currently on trial in Europe.

 

Yer there is no doubt about it, I have seen a fair bit of him as an a-league fan, I just feel he is in a different mold to cahill

Matty Ryan postponed his trial with Rangers due to a shoulder injury. Fat sally is hoping he will fly to glasgow on monday for a trial which ccm wants since they were offered more by rangers but I think ryan wants to go to randers
