the quality is not particularly good, thats why the good players go overseas to clubs- guys like Rogic.:celt_2:

the old NSL used to produce top players, the a-league..well not so much.

Been a lot of debate in our media comparing SPL and Scottish football to the A-League. Mark Bosnich slammed Scottish football when it came out Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Mathew Ryan was to train with The R*ngers.

Bet he wouldn't have an issue with Rogic going to a club playing Champions League football.

I know but its the same in Scotland. The standard is poor so the top players go to England or Celtic/Sevco

Haha, I hadn't really heard of some of our best signings is my point... Wanyama, Hooper, Izzy, Kayal, Matthews, Ambrose.

Some of the comments on that Facebook page are hilarious. The Australian fans are clueless.

Agreed. Most Australian's have no idea when it comes to Scottish football. Celtic and the SPL will be a massive step up.

I'm actually excited about this one, even though I know * all about Rogic. Sounds promising though and could be the player we've been looking for, that will link up with the strikers and create more goalscoring opportunities.

I've never really seen much of the A-league, but is it not just like the MLS? The only times I ever really hear anything about it is when they sign some older player.

I'd be surprised if any of the teams were better than us though. Even if we did lose to some of them a few years ago in pre-season I would out down to the fact that it was a friendly along with other factors the heat, the travelling etc.

With all due respect to the people complaining they must be pretty naive if they think that coming to us would be a step down. Not only are we playing in the Cl and are always guaranteed at least a couple of games in a European competition, but he's got a good chance of gaining the attention of top EPL teams or others big European sides whilst playing for us.

This, I would rather we sign Marco Rojas from the a-league I feel he is a better prospect but Rogic is great. I would love to see him move to celtic for his development especially in the socceroos

Looks some size of a boy. Certainly physical enough to handle Scottish fitba. Looks awkward at times due to being so one footed and looks slower than he is due to the length of his stride, like Samaras.

Looks like a good young player.

Maybe if we're selling both Kayal & Wanyama in the near future, we're going to need replacements in CM - although he's more attacking looking than both.

Suits our policy fine, hope he has a good attitude - young guys need that more than ability sometimes ..

He really doesn't look up to much. Looks like he's got lead in his boots and appears very one-footed.

At least we're getting him over for a trial before making any commitments.
