Regardless of the opposition it's the perfect start for a striker.

    Like the celebration too.

I think he and Edouard will strike up a really good understanding.

Got to admit I was kind of like "whatever" about him.

Now I'm excited. That interview was impressive too for such a young boy.

Anyone else think boyatas pass was meant for someone else though?

He speaks so well for such a young guy and has his priorities in order.

Hope he loves it and we can sort out an 18 month deal. He can go back to PSG as a 2 year old with some great experience and European football.

The last I read he only had 18 months left on his PSG contract. I can't see them loaning him to us unless he signs a new contract with them in the summer, they are more likely to just sell him then if he won't. Whether we could afford him (or more precisely be willing to pay the asking fee) then is another matter.

DEBUT goals are a great achievement in anyone’s book, but scoring less than 15 minutes after coming off the bench in a home cup-tie at Paradise is extra special. Timo Weah did exactly that today (Saturday), when he netted the final goal of Celtic’s 3-0 defeat of Airdrie in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

Speaking after the game, the 18-year-old forward described the experience as dream-like, and said he cannot wait to extend his scoring streak in the weeks and months to come.

“That’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and have ever played in,” Weah said. “The Celtic fans, when I scored, it was like something out of a dream. Even when Scott scored, you could feel the fans, how they really are, and I’m really honoured and blessed to be here.

“It’s always a good feeling to get that first goal on the books, and now I can go on to the next game with a bit more confidence. It’s now time for me to get back to training, continue to work on my finishing, and continue to work on gelling with the boys, even better than we have now, and just listening to all the info the gaffer’s given me, and paying attention to all the guys in training.

"I’m really happy, and it’s now it’s just a step-by-step for me. The first goal is out of the way, and now it’s about continuing to get more and to try and work harder.”

Weah said opening his scoring account so early has given him a hunger for more, and while he admits the goal takes some of the pressure off, he can’t wait to add to his tally in front of the Paradise faithful.

“It’s an amazing welcome, and as you can see with my celebration, I already love the club, and I feel honoured and blessed to even have this opportunity," he said. "Going from a team that I didn’t play as much, to come here and to be accepted by the fans, the players and the coaching staff is an amazing feeling and that makes me want to give everything out on the field, and leave my blood, sweat and tears on the pitch for the crest.

“There’s always pressure to get that first goal, and you want to start off really good. Getting it on my debut, I’ve never done that before and that’s a blessing. I now need to focus on the next game and try to get another one, or an assist for my team, and work hard for the win.”

Do you honestly think PSG would have gave him a new deal if they never rated him ? they have put him on loan to us to shine and get game time... we probably can't afford him so how else do you get a player with his undoubted potential and ability ...if he helps us do another treble no one will be complaining and we might even get him for another season , it's all about settling into scottish football too, iv'e no doubts about him at parkhead when we have perfect surface, big park and ability to shine .. lets see him away from home, how he adapts.

^^This, and how much he has taken to the club in such a short time. If not it will guarantee we have a much better chance of extending loan as kid will want it.
