problem is all of the above are easier to prove than the motive inside the guys head. There are all sorts of football hatreds short of sectarianism (lots of our fans have deep hate of Rangers) and we just cant prove what he did was primarily sectarian. Fans have attacked players etc without sectarian motives.

Lennon didn't give that in his evidence. Let's stick to facts.

There was only 1 witness speaking to the sectarian comments

I understand.....no one could not hear him shouting "* *" above all the huns in the stadium shouting "* *". Why did he attack Neil? Ginger hair?

Trying do what that clown did on a saturday night and see what happens. Its a disgrace. Beggars belief. I am not going to justify it by saying he was tried etc.

The bottom line is, it WAS a sectarian attack. He DID assualt him. And it WAS premeditated, he ran from 40metres away.

Whatever the result, he got off lighter than Alan Carrs loafers.

That's irrelevant. It's proof in court that matters

Hardly a loyalist country. We have an outright nationalist majority in this country. You dont vote for a party who want to break the union if you are a loyalist. There is an loyalist element but they are totally outnumbered by their opposite numbers nationalists and 'normal' people. Dont try and widen a * element into a national characteristic. 90% of the population consider guys like him total scum. Dont tar us all with the same brush.

He got a BOP as the charge libelled was religiously aggravated assault. The religious element couldn't be proven via evidence. He got done with a BOP as that charge was libelled also.

Your post that I just quoted reeked of apathy.

You're always on hand shouting the odds against anyone who dares criticise the PLC, backing them to the hilt, and yet here you are telling anyone who wants to actually stick up for our manager not to get hysterical.

That's pathetic whatever way you look at it, bad form.

How do we prove it was sectarian though? People have attacked players and managers before without a sectarian motive.

He was heard to shout "* *".....you should have been on the Jury too. You obviously don't believe the witnesses either. Disgraceful.

I never said not to back our manager. I back him 100%. That won't change anything about today's verdict and does not mean there will be an upsurge in incidents against him.
