He can be number 1690 as long as he plays every game like he did against those rodents.

    No way to the change.

    The 88 is iconic - it's unique, it's Celtic, and it's Hooper.

Maybe one day people will be saying about a new young Celtic star - give him the legendary 88 shirt. :50:

Yes...the Iconic 88 shirt that was worn by Gary Hooper- who single handedly outscored Henrik Larsson's Celtic goal tally, and subsequently transferred to Barcelona for £40million (The second-highest Scottish transfer recieved after Charlie Maldini's £49 million move to A.C Million!)

Nah, he should keep the 88 shirt. Although he is definitely worthy of the No7.

Leave it be, he choose that number and he's playing well in it. It's obviously special to him.

no probs with 88 here and i dont see why anyone else has a problem
remember zerouali from aberdeen he had 0 and i'm sure more players have odd numbers too, russia i think unless i'm mistaken have taken advantage of the squad numbers up for grabs

Its a number and what would he chose instead. 34! It is just as daft a number as 88. They both are the same, numbers. Do the same function. 88 is a number that is associated with Celtic so I think he should keep it. You really must have a lot of spare time on your hands to get annoyed about a number!!

    probably can't do it now?

I'm sure he's not about to change his number that HE chose to suit you.

The number stays. Players make the numbers. the number doesn't make the player.
Was 46 a stupid number when McGeady was at his best?
