    Agreed.
I personally think the legislation may be unenforcable but i think we should err on the side of caution

Not missing any point. I agree that if the songs are going to cause us grieve then they should be stopped. What I object to is comments from silly wee bhoys making comments about things they know little about.

the issue here is whether or not we should sing songs. i think it would help to know exactly what is a secatrian song, ie examples, so these songs wont be sung. its rediculous to expect us to guess at what we can be done for.

the problem is that sfa/ chairmen/ board members go on as if they dont know the actual songs, or at least what they are called. instead of saying, 'oh we have a problem, lets sort it by cutting out this singing'
they should come out with 'if song A,B and C are sung anymore we will get docked points'

Knew all that crap, just still didn't think it was a racist statement that Henrik made. Since it's just political sides, wouldn't that just be like Walter Smith for instance saying 'Long Live The SNP Party'?:97:

personal i doubt you know all that "crap" plus celtic away fans only sing political songs SO why are we being told we are a disgrace were as barca president Joan Laporta comes out with poilitical statements with half the team and we are being told we are a disgrace? thats the point im TRYING MY BEST TO MAKE!!

plus there are more extreme fans uefa should be looking at for instance the right wing facists at seria a games and in holland were a section of the fernoord fans call themselves "the final solution" ffs

Comparing Celtic to Barcelona makes no sense. Our situations and connections are not the same.

Kerr, no 'e' in Anthery and not being smart or anything, you should read a book on the history of the IRA, I dont think you know alot of the history of the IRA and its organisation.

i think when people start singing secretarian songs at parkhead then the hundreds that disagree should just start booing to drown them out. itll create a negative impact for the team but its for the clubs best interest that we cut these songs and a loud chorus of boo's may be the only answer.

So is the British Government Kyndig. Just because they are a government doesn't mean they have the devine right to invade other peoples countries and claim them as their own. If I broke into your house and claimed it as mine, you'd surely fight back. That is over now. How can people honour a government or soldiers who commit serious acts of raping, hanging innocents, taking what doesn't belong to them, forcing things upon others and not honour those who stand up for what is truly right? I don't agree with the killing of innocent people and neither do I agree with people taking whats not theirs.

Anyway, enough of this rubbish as it can very quickly errupt.

On another note, imagine Rangers were 2 points behind so a group of fans go to Celtic Park, in the Celtic end, belt out a few IRA songs ot which many join in, they go home and then Celtic get deducted points! Might be a long shot but there is a possibility.

Also, UEFA said recently that they could not identify the exact words Rangers fans were singing in Europe so how can they charge anyone with an offence?

    100% agreed. :50:

Just don't like the thought of the British government not being recognised as terrorists and everyone, 'having to just get over it'.

I respect that and agree that songs regarding IRA etc are not needed at Celtic Park. I was just contesting Kyndigs opinion that the IRA are terrorists compared to his opinion of the British Government. I was checking to see if there was double standards.

At the end of the day the whole bigotry thing is a joke. My dad is the chief of police and area commander for our area and hes always getting abuse and stick from celtic supporters or rather people who are sympathic towards the IRA. Years ago he hit on the head with a brick from a celtic fan branding him ' a * pig' but hes been a celtic fan and a catholic his whole life...?

Thats terrible. In a perfect world, there'd be no intolerance against race, *, colour or whatever but unfortunately there is and this is one example of why we should all do our best to help eradicate it.

Here in Northern Ireland things have improved and much for the better. I think it would be great if all stadiums where racism/sectarian free. We can all do our part.
