I cant understand anyone defending TM, his record speaks for itself, and its time to go before he does anymore damage.

We're a laughing stock, even the teams at the bottom of the league believe they have nothing to fear against us.

So who should control set piece tactics to ensure we are all marking someone?

The manager or the team captain.[/FONT]

My honest opinion is that Mowbray needs to be given the time.
He's operating with essentially Strachan's squad which i personally feel needed to be broken up before last season & some fresh blood brought in.
Strachan was a successful manager, but don't forget that this is the bulk of his squad that just crawled over the line two seasons ago, and the same squad that couldn't beat a very poor Rangers team last season.
Lack of spending last january cost us the league, to only bring in Willo Flood was a disgrace, & I'll bet the board are regretting their decision not to sign Steven Fletcher.

Mowbray has only brought in N'Gueno, Fortune, Fox & Zheng, he needs to be given at least another 2 transfer windows before we truely see his Celtic team & can properly judge him, IMO if we give him this time he could create a squad that will dominate the league for years.

Mowbray is not without blame though, I think a big problem just now is that he's been very vocal in his views about certain players & the standard of football at the club, and as such some players know they're on their way out of the club & don't feature in his long term plans, therefore they won't burst a gut for him.

Celtic's squad has needed a major overhaul for at least 2 years, & I think we are now suffering partly because of this, players like Caldwell, McManus, McDonald and possibly McGeady may have to move on in order to let the team progress.

I can't see the board making a panic decision, so Mowbray will be here at the very least till the end of the season, I just hope the board back him properly in january & let him bring some badly needed new blood to the club.

Question for people who want him out: Do you want him sacked immediately?

Can we blame the manager for the 2 goals??? I think the players who played in champs league,,international players should at least be able to defend a corner ffs!!
IMO there is alot of blame on these players today (esp Heid,,Glen) they were no were near the 2 guys who scored and ppl blame the manager for today?? If a Celtic player
cant kep an eye on a fkin Dundee Utd player for 2secs how thw * can he expect to ask for a wage rise (yes you heid) give mogga jan window at least bhoys.....

We couldn't defend set pieces last season and guess what the same players still can't defend them this season - but obviously that's Mowbray's fault and not the defenders themselves.

We couldn't score last season, we still cant score this season, I think Mowbray was wrong not to buy an out and out goalscorer, but one transfer window to try and get a proven goalscorer is hardly giving him a chance.

All those that want him sacked - how much investment do you think we could make if we had to pay out another 2.5 million in compensation?

We'd have even less chance of winning the league imo as there would be no investment in January and we badly need investment in the team.

I think player quality is a red herring. The inherited players have dont it all, won SPLs, are internationalists, played in the CL etc etc. Mowbray just does not get the best out of them. The defence has plumbed new depth this season but I think that is because Mowbray does not set the team up right to allow for out players weaknesses. Mowbray has a long record of not being able to get a team to defend. As for attack, the best Celtic teams with brains in recent years have been the ones with Naka and Maloney. Nakas gone and Maloneys out. That leaves noone wiht a real football brain in our side. Sorry but Aidans circus ball juggling is not the same thing. The real problem though is the real Celtic manager we should have gone for was in the outher dugout today. He knows how to get more out of far more limited players than we have. If he goes to Rangers, expect a bit of a dark age for us.

We have paid 2 million quids (or less, I think Lawell cut the price down) in compensation to WBA to bring him. So, he's still with us and has contract untill next summer. If we are to sack him in January, we need to fork out more money to him. Excellent logic.

Another thing, I don't think there are many managers looking for job in January, they usually find their place in summer, so it would be perfect timing to sack Mogga in Jan. Middle of the season, squad is starting to adapt to manager's play, but suddenly he's sacked. 5 more months to go and title chase is heating up and we're without manager and cluthing for straws to find temporary solution. I think your way of thinking is spot on (or did you even thought of this?).

He has a worse record than Barnes, and we are already behind Rangers. He needs to get the boot. If he wasn't a "Celtic man" (whatever that means), more people would have been clamouring for a change already.
