I've still not seen a valid football reason why Mowbray should stay.

    What now?

Oh, why blame the manager, when the players are * & not pulling their weight. So, lets do this, of course give the manager time, like, upto the end of the season & we finish 5th or 6th in the league & then we can all say, we did give 'Celtic Minded' Mowbary time, but the useless players let him down, so the experiment didn't work, may be we should give the great Mogga another season, oh no, Mogga wants to leave, oh well, what a man, full of dignity, stood by us till the end. Good Luck Tony !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fckin had enough, throw that idiot out before its too late (like now !!!!) & appoint someone, who can work with the players & not loose the * dressing room.
Oh & can the great Mogga take that 4 million worth of Horse Manure called Fortune with him & may be, the great Mogga pay us back the 2 million we paid for his services to WBA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:31:
It's not even funny any more .
"Please, GTF Mogga, for all our sakes":47:

    Has Mogga Lost the Plot

Celtic have now managed only two wins from their last 10 matches. Rangers are a point ahead at the top and also have a game in hand.
Mogga faced the wrath of disgusted travelling fans after Celtic's first defeat to United in a decade. Mowbray, however, is refusing to panic.
He said: "I judge my football team on the performance level. Today the performance shows me that if we add just a bit of quality here and there then this team can go on and be very successful.
"After 11 or 12 games I ain't too interested in the league position."
Celtic's £3.8million striker Marc Antoine Fortune passed up four gilt-edged opportunities.
But Mogga said: "He's had 10 weeks out. He needs to get himself back up to speed. But I have every confidence in him''''

EITHER THESE ARE THE WORDS OF A WISE MAN OR HAS HE LOST THE PLOT ALL TOGETHER.. WHAT DO THINK FOLKS!

Mowbray is in denial, and knows his jaikit is now on a shoogly peg with the club and the fans. His defence of his diddy Fortune is cringeworthy.

I don't think Mowbray will survive to Christmas now. I think the Board will pull the plug on him shortly. His record is worse than Barnes and Macari's now :87:

I'm not too sure the board will have the confidence to give him the money to spend to be honest.

I'll still back him and the team and hopefully we're just a short road away from turning the corner.

yeh i dont want to get on Mogga's back so early, but it's not looking that good at the moment.

Problem is Fortune is absolutely rubbish, and he cost 3.8 million. He was cr*p at west brom, i dont know why he bought him.

The thing is he's not exactly supportive of some of his players when he's interviewed publicly. Like yesterday he pretty much indicated that he thinks Gary Caldwell is rubbish after the match. Can't be good for confidence.

it's like after every defeat, he comes out and pretty much implies: "don't blame me, some of these players are absolutely terrible" - Caldwell, McDonald and McManus seem to be particularly targeted.

He should stop doing that, think he's feeling the pressure and is finding it hard to take.

The problem with Fortune is yesterday was the absolute worst game of all fixtures to blend him back into the team. Firstly it is clearly a tough tough game against a team that always runs us to the wire that requires people who can FINISH and who are confident. Secondly Samaras apparently had a great game for Greece midweek and has been loking dangerous for us.

Can't help but feel Fortune is a player we should've been slowly introducing to games and maybe give him a start in an easier home game.

He sounds like he's been listening to Strachan videos from last season, 'We didnt win but we played well'.

Im still hopeful he'll turn things round.

If we had a good solid central defence that shambles wouldn't have happened yesterday.

I don't think Dundee Utd had a shot on goal until 50-60 minutes. We need two good CB's in January and a goalscorer and we'll be fine.

This isn't Football Manager mate. You honestly think the board will give the needed amount (I'd say about 8 million for 3 decent players)? And who's to say Mowbray won't blow it ala Fortune?

January is a total myth, we'll get a Premiership reject on loan or something.

Who says we need £8m for 3 decent players? There are good players out there to be had on the cheap, you just have to find them.

No one had heard of N'Guemo before he joined on loan so what's to say we can't find a couple of defenders and a striker for about the same price?

It's getting worse every week, sadly. Really is a dire run of form at present, and all this "we were better, just not getting the breaks" chat DOES indeed reek of Strachan at the end of his tenure.

Inept in defence, and the antithesis of prolific in attack. Never a good combination at jumpers-for-goalposts level, let alone professional football.

Mike's comment about whether it was the right kind of game for our £3.8M striker is well noted, by the way. Samaras would have been as high as a kite, and next weekend against St Mirren would have been the shout for Marc-Antoine to start. Hindsight is of course a wonderful thing - but even yesterday, substantial numbers of punters were shocked to see Samaras starting on the bench.

Will the board give Mowbray time? Let's not forget that it is a 12 month rolling contract - as such, getting rid of him, Grant and Venus would not be that significant a sum. The other option is to provide him with available funds in January (which i think is what will happen.)

Big risk to take, however, if he invests poorly and we have to get shot of him for next term, having invested heavily in his short tenure on players the next man may not want.

All getting a lot ahead of ourselves i suppose. Next week, we could gub St Mirren, and Rangers could slip up at Pittodrie....everything would look slightly rosier then. At present, however, we are in dire straits - don't let any of Mowbray's comments persuade you otherwise, as they are trying to buy him time.

Mowbray can only pick a team from what he has in front of him ,personally i would play Thompson from now on and see how he goes ,he has tried Caldwell and McManus and theve under achieved at the back ,also Maloney he was out yesterday but i would go with McGinn he is more direct in his game and he has the pace to go at defenders which Maloney hasnt ,the front line is a toss of the coin it that bad but Samaras is my pick for one place the other i dont know .

I dont think there will be a massive clear-out in January ,some will leave but not as many as people think also i think it depends on who does leave to see how much money gets spent on new players ,again i dont see massive changes there either but the main concern is at the back and for a Celtic team to be firing blanks is very unusual ,in the past there has naearly always been someone there to rattle in the goals ,it isnt happening this season and thats a concern.

well i have absolutly no idea whats happening with celtic these days ...

i wouldnt put the blame just on mowbray, but i think its a bit of both.

in my opinion, we definatly have a better team than rangers, but i think rangers have the better manager if im being totally honest, so it kind of puts us on equal footing, and after watching these games both from the huns, and us, im begining to wonder if this season could be the season that the top 2 finally get split?

as for the teams performance yesterday, nothing but frustrating to watch. nearly every players 2nd touch was a tackle, and our passing is ridiculous, i just dont understand it. our players are so slow, and so in-accurate, you can see it when the opposition get the ball, their a gear or 2 above celtic, and play fast counter attack football.

now i know at times dundee had 11 men in their own half, its what the teams tend to do alot against celtic and rangers, so it can be hard to get an effective attack on the go, but in order to do that, you need fast paced players, who have accurate passes, and who opt out for the easy thing to do, i.e, take a shot at goal in the box, rather than pass it round every player. for some reason we like to make things alot more complicated than necessary, its absolutly shocking, and its why celtic are playing as bad as they are. some of the players just look like passengers and dont have the heart, and i think its time to offload those players, or at least kick them out the team for a bit. i think its time to start introducing youngsters/reserves to the team, as they tend to perform better imho than the "regulars", and definatly want to paly football and be the hero.

the regulars at celtic are comfy in their jerseys, it only seems as if their putting in less than half the effort they should, and it * me off something awful.

    edit:
and im really not suprised we lost the game at all yesterday. our attacks were rubbish, exactly how many shots on target, or even attempted shots did we have? we were fortunate enough to get the penalty, and it just about made robsons appearance worthwhile seeing as he done next to nothing else, but the game had the exact same feeling to it as the hapoel game. get a goal, then celtic just sit back, and eventually just crumble.

another thing i noticed is that we tend to be conceeding alot of goals to corners

    ^^^^^

So, in short, you are a tad disgruntled then mate?!:56:

First touch / passing are good points that were made there. Terrible standard at present; unforgivably poor.

It's almost as if Mowbray is trying to get average performers to play above themselves technically (pace-wise, i mean), and in turn, they make a mockery of themselves, the confidence goes, and it turns into a horror show.
