    Hey folks

Just wandered what everyones thoughts were about the signings we have made so far?

Personally after seeing cha du ri at the world cup I think he is a decent signing with pace and strength, altough not the best passer of the ball. Ledley seems a good all round midfielder and can score goals here and there, hopefully will form a decent partneship with brown next season. Think mulgrew is the rotten apple here though, was never particularly impressed with him at aberdeen who were a club that suited his ability but personally I think a club like celtic is too big for him, definatley not a player fot the big european ties.

    thoughts?

cha du ri - dont know , reserve judgment till i see him play
mulgrew - happy , always wished him to sign with us again
ledley- AMAZING signing , cant wait to see him play

we still need 3 more players , a central defender a winger(if mcgeady leaves ) and a striker

I think a decent cb a new keeper and 2 new strikers are vital in order for success next season

    decent this far.
still need a centerback. we're less 1 than we had last season which isn't good.
Liked cha at the world cup
Ledley is decently rated so we'll see how he gets on, I don't think he's amazing however lol
Charlie - another good free transfer, we have no left backs

I think its been good so far very productive...

Du Ri - Seen him at WC looked good.
Mulgrew - Great signing not much can go wrong with a FREE.
Ledley - not seen much of him but heard good things.

Think we need a Striker, CB and think a keeper can wait til Jan and lets see how Cervi and Zal go.

Cha>>>> sounds the part, pace like an olympic sprinter, something which we badly lack, should be promising and exciting a just hope he can defend but am confident, not seen much of him right enough!!!

Mulgrew>>> we all know his set pieces are tremendous, cant be as bad as naylor or braffheid, decent free imo but maybe not a first team pick just yet, has a lot to prove and a lot of work to do to get in the team week in week out imo.

Ledley >> seen some of his lovely goals on youtube, but i have a dont really have a clue about him, for free and the clubs that were interested in him, sounds promising

I think Mulgrew and Cha are more squad type players (at least I hope so...)

but Ledley comes very very highly rated and looks to be an amazing piece of business - especially when people were bandying around £6million for him to move to the Premiership.

And this Juarez fella if he signs looks to be another very good piece of business.

So far so good but gimme another LB, CB and AM.

think du ri and mulgrew are just squad players, and think ledley is just wheat we need in our midfield.

no way can mulgrew command th LB spot at celtic so i think we defo need another allthough misun is here i dont think he is ready.

the best bit about ledley imo is that we can demand 6million for him.

I'm still too down in the dumps about Artur leaving to feel much positivity about any of our new signings.

Cha - Haven't seen much of the guy but our track record with Asian players is sketchy up to this point. Wait and see.............

Mulgrew - Mediocre defensively and not good enough to be first choice left-back.

Ledley - I haven't seen much of him either. Many people on here seem to speak very highly of him though so I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.

    We still need a Centre-Back, a Left-Back and a Striker. A goalkeeper would be a bonus.

Charlie Mulgrew - Probably the least surprising and the least imaginative signing possible, Mulgrew will nevertheless be a decent addition to the squad, being one of the better left backs in the SPL and costing us no money.

Cha Du-Ri - Don't know much about him but by all accounts he's fast and athletic. We lack pace at the back and have done for a while, so hopefully Du-Ri can help remedy that. May or may not be a first choice.

Joe Ledely - Cardiff were rejecting £6m bids for him recently so he could well be a fantastic player to pick up on a free. Often considered one of the brightest up-and-coming players in England, he should be able to do very well in the SPL from out left.

Efrain Juarez - He's picked up 20 or so Caps for Mexico in the space of a year, which I think is a very positive sign. Not many of us will have seen him play, but from what we've seen at the World Cup and from what our Mexican users have said, we're about to land ourselves a battling midfielder who can pick a pass and is strong and reliable in the tackle. Delighted at this one, actually.

Charlie Mulgrew - Don't see him as a 1st choice, but good cover. And still the potential to be a 1st choice.

Cha Du-Ri - Fast, powerful, good Bundesliga experience, got a * of a shot on him. S Korea is not China - you don't get 50+ caps for them unless you can play a bit.

Joe Ledley - Great signing on a free. Bit of a coup.

Efrain Juarez - Boundless energy, tough enough to be happy in the SPL, and a better ball player than most british DMs. He will do well for us.

Still lacking at CB and striker, but we are actively looking, so fair enough.

My worry is that we still haven't signed a creative midfielder, someone who can pull the strings in the middle - a Moravcik or a Nakamura. If we end up not signing one, I am afraid we will be left with a very high-powered well-built car - wi nae steering wheel.

Basically my thoughts except I think Mulgrew will come in handy on free-kicks, something we desperately need and I have watched Juarez quite a few times and he is a sensational player who I think will be a real hit over here if he can settle alright.

However what I like the most is the fact that three of the players are still relatively young, but they have loads of experience for their age.

    Charlie Mulgrew-24-Around 100 professional appearances
Joe Ledley-23-Over 200 appearances for Cardiff as well as 32 for Wales
Efrain Juarez-22-Over 60 appearances for PUMAS as well as 24 for Mexico

Lennon isnt done and the future is bright. Lenny's Revolution :shamrock:

A very good summary and one I agree with. Lenny has purchased players who are tailor made to fit into the system he intends to use this year, and adapt to the rigours of SPL football.

He is also getting players in with a little big of dig about them , and who are not afraid to leave the foot in. Now if only Mowbray had done this.

time will tell how they fit into lennys masterplan......remember we've signed juninho, graveson etc and they were bums......no guarantees. but i'm quite optimistically hopeful.

really happy so far. but we badly need a striker, not midfielders.
