Where did Caldwell go wrong on Sunday?

The first goal he actually had his man, it was either a man-marker had gone awol or a failure of the zonal. The second goal him and Loovens were left to mark 2 guys. He is partly to blame there (along with Loovens and whoever was spare) for not communicating the extra man problem to his fellow defenders, but the predominant problem is Mowbray's defence setup at corners.

Just another example of people giving Caldwell pelters no matter if he deserves it or not...

 

Rangers don't have another choice. If an experienced SPL defender was available no doubt he would play. But this whole Bogherra thing plus injuries has left them with no choice. I'm sure Walter Smith had serious qualms putting him in in Europe, but fortunately for them the guy seemingly has the ability to play. Not every young CB coming through will have that ability and level-head.

I would have played Thompson yesterday, Celtic need to take chances on players just now because the ones that are playing have been tried and tried again and it obvious to everyone that there's players in that team who are not up to standard.
