Nice to see you actually read what i wrote... not.

Not debating any rumours, in fact i was simply defending the right for people to speculate in this thread, thats all.

I wish him the best in his life.

So if we're not debating the rumours being posted, why would people post them at all??:97:

So sad to hear this as Thommo is a Celtic legend, but nothing lasts for ever in life.

I would imagine Big Bad John will be in the frame now for the job.

People speculating that he has a drink problem and that being the factor in his parting company with Celtic?

So if these assumptions are untrue, is it ok to speculate because we are on a forum and that is what people do on a forum?

    Really???

You're right, nobody here will know for sure and speculation without facts is pointless

Dunno, i dont think BBJ will work with Lenny. If they argue over a news article or a few words in the media theres no mission they could survive the dressing room pressures.

I read an article from last year about his split from his wife, apparently she felt he had a mid-life crisis? Could that maybe something to do with it I wonder?

I'd imagine he's still not himself since his illness.

Yip...i think once is bad enough, but almost understandable, as i think most of us have taken a chance at some point in our driving lives, but twice is a sign of something! If not a drink problem, then a complete disregard for others!

Having said that, i always liked him, and hope he sorts things out (if anything needs sorting)and gets back into football quickly!

I don't care if Thommo had a drinking problem.

    I have one too.

I'm * right now and the only way this could be any better is if Thommo was here.

    Peace and out.

Wow - some right proper * going on in this thread.

I don't think it's wrong to speculate that his drinking may be a factor in his dismissal - especially since he is being touted as being sacked as a result of his "lifestyle" (hardly going to be for knitting aggressively, and it's common knowledge that he is a bit of a caner - although don't know if that's a problem).

I hope you get it sorted mate.....if that is what you want, but surely you would hope someone didnt have such a problem?

The facts as we know them are that Thommo would not go to a meeting with Lenny in Newcastle and was sacked over the phone. No reasons as to why yet.
