I don't understand why he was tried so soon. He's obviously struggling a fair bit with injury so even keeping him out to pre-season is surely the best bet given competitively the season is over and we have sufficient cover.

Hope to see a lot of him next season. He might be the best defender we have from the little I've seen of him so far. Hope he can stay fit.

Agreed. He should have had time to recover, as we know this isn't the first time this injury has re-occurred.

you just have to look at ledley king at totenham to see how a quality center back can function with only playing every second game, should he need it to stay fit

Redknapp has described King as 'a freak of nature' for his ability to perform the way he does on swimming and other fitness training alone. King is the exception, not the norm so far CBs performing without everyday football.

Ledley King is an ageing crock, Paul McGrath was the same at the tail end of his career.

There's no comparison with a 19 year old guy that has suffered 1 injury then thrown in when he wasn't fully healed only to suffer the same thing again. With a solid pre-season under his belt he should be raring to go next season.

I think he possesses the ability and right attitude, my concern would be keeping him injury free. I could say exactly the same about young Mark Wilson when he first arrived from Dundee United, I honestly though he was going to be the new Jackie Mc Namara, however I series of injuries has almost certainly ended his future at Celtic Park.

I think Rogne is the best defender we have based on about an hour of football :56:. I know its stupit but the boy just ooze's class and fills me with confidence when he plays.

Really like Rogne, but like many here, seriously concerned by the injuries. It may be a freak bit of bad luck, but considering his age and the frequency / other similar injuries in his short career so far, I genuinley believe we have a good player that is going to spend more time on the treatment table than the pitch....

What's the current situation with Thomas Rogne? Is he fit and well and available for selection?? Or is he having another spell on the treatment table???

Just wondering because I really like the look of the bhoy from what I've seen so far. I hope he is going to take Glenda's place in the team sooner rather than later.

He's fit definitely. But, I think Lennon wants an expeirienced Centre Half pairing hence why he is picking Glenda.

Hmmmm I hope that's not the case. Playing alongside an experienced centre-back like Majstorovic could be the making of Rogne and I would like to see that partnership tried.

We only have a very small sample of evidence to base our opinions of Rogne on but I was really impressed with what I saw when he played. I want to see more of him and see if he's the real deal.

Mogga started Rogne at Ibrox and he looked decent before he got the injury.
