Rogne spent over 3 years at the club and performed admirably whenever he was called upon, just a shame he couldn't sort out his injury problems.

Good luck to him in his future career :50:

Apparently he cut himself in the transfer window and will be out for the rest of the year! [IMG]

Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Shame things never really worked out in the end. He could have been a mainstay in the Celtic defence for years to come had it not been for the injuries. Showed lots of potential at a young age.

The guy always played well against the filth whenever he was called upon too.

Won't forget his contribution to the New Years 2011 game in a hurry. What a day.

    No he didn't.
Jelavic ragdolled Rogne silly in the League Cup Final.

We won't miss Rogne, he was a poor version of a delicate centre back.

Wont miss him either. Cant really belive how he could be in the team for this long. A total waste of jersey and wage. He is a unlucky lad though.. He is made out of glass.

I thought he was decent.. Certainly had potential. Injury after injury however put a stop to that..

Why can't we just wish a young player, (who has been a Celtic player
for three seasons, & no doubt given his best) all the best & good luck
for the future, instead of having digs at him.
It makes us look * when we slag our own players off.
Constructive criticism is fine but it's rarely what's offered.
He was a part of the 2 in a row:50:

He was unlucky with injuries but i honestly thought he was a quality
no nonsense centre half when he was fit.

Thomas Rogne was part of our first choice centre half pairing last year, people tend to forget that. He was a solid defender, especially next to Mulgrew who conpensated for Rognes lack of technical ability. Sad to see his Celtic career go downhill so quickly but he has been unlucky with injuries.

Thomas Rogne will become a very good defender away from Celtic.

Also he was barely fit in that CIS cup final.

A shame the way things worked out, by and large he looked quality for us (barring this last season). I reckon he'd be one of our key players if he hadn't been injured so often. Good luck to him whatever he ends up doing.

If he hadn't knocked back the contract early in the season and asked to be paid on a par with our top earners I believe he would have been picked ahead of Ambrose.

I genuinely at first felt he was going to be a cracker :50: Felt he could have been with us for years. Remember his first game against the dead mob, he was outstanding, then had to go off injured. After that, I just feel that, he never ever hit those heights again. I think he returned a very hesitant player, which was the last thing our defence needed. I also felt, that because of this hesitancy effect, his ability as a player became affected. I dont think he possesed the same determination, or heart to his play. Towards the latter end with big Thomas, his heart wasnt in it, and it showed, when he would hobble off if the going got really tough. Still could be a good player with another team, Dundee United, I'd suggest. Still say thanks to the big guy, and good luck with your new club, whoever it might be. :ynwacelti
