T G would be an amazing signing for us especially with VoH looking the part. Think Gravesen will really tighten up the mid field and give some cover to the defence, maybe give Caldwell a bit of cover as hes still to bed in. Cant wait for him to put pen to paper:50:

Moyes does not want him back at Goodison

He's a good player, but we are looking for a wide midfielder

I think Gravesen will be a great signing (If he signs) but I dont want to get carried away. Sure we've bought some good players in big Jan and Jarosik but we need a centre half badly. The one's we have just now are getting found out a SPL level. Dont think they'll be able to cope with the likes of Ronaldo, Giggs and Rooney. Centre Half Pronto please Mr. Strachan!

Imminent Celtic signing Thomas Gravesen tried to delay his move to Parkhead yesterday in the hope that Newcastle would come in for him.

The Mirror says Gravesen, 30, travelled to Glasgow yesterday and underwent a medical after Celtic agreed a 1m deal. His talks last week with Toon boss Glenn Roeder collapsed over 60,000-aweek wage demands.

Real Madrid midfielder Gravesen says his old club Everton, Middlesbrough and Bolton are also keen.

And his agent John Sivebaek said last night: "There may still be a surprise to come. We will see on Tuesday."

Thomas Gravesen was last night finalising his move to Celtic from Real Madrid after agreeing terms on a £2m transfer. The Danish international midfielder arrived at Celtic Park for talks yesterday afternoon and completed a three-hour medical at the city's Ross Hall hospital.
Subject to no last-minute hitches, the deal will go through today and the 30-year-old midfielder will become the club's third signing in the last week following the capture of Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, from PSV Eindhoven, and Lee Naylor, from Wolves.

BBC Sport - Aston Villa are close to agreeing a fee of an initial £6m with Celtic for midfielder Stilian Petrov.
The 27-year-old is currently away on international duty with Bulgaria but it is understood his representitives have held talks with Villa.
New Villa manager Martin O'Neill was in charge of Petrov during his five-year reign at Celtic Park. Former Celtic defender Didier Agathe has been training with Villa this week and could be offered a short-term deal

Surely no way we would sell petrov this close to the end of the trasfer window without a replacement assured!!

I was reading today's Sun More Reliable than the Daily Ranger bhoys+ghirls in my opinion That the deal is done all that needs top be done now is a Signature and personaly from what I read it looks like He'll join Celtic coz when Morten Weighorts played for Denmark and Celtic!, when TG played he was always asking Morten for Tickets for games(old-firm games+Europane games too!) and TG also said when he watched his first Old-Firm game he fell in love with Celtic Supporters with them singing YNWA he was saying you don't hear it like that at Liverppool and TG also said to Weighort that maybe one day he will play for the Hoops well that day has come and I justed wished TG WOULD SIGN ASAP!eh??

    * is going on With TG Please sign ASAP!!(I seen in today's paper that TG was on £65,000 a week:eek::eek: and if he does sign he will only get about £30,00(no-one will ever know how much TG really gets eh??) but also gets £500,000 signing on fee as well+Bonus if the bhoys go futher in the SPL.(Today's Sun Back page)

I hope gravsen Hasn't turned his back on us.

Personaly I can't see it as we are the only club who could give him CL football but as TG says he could go back to Real-Madrid and just pick a nice wage packet without playing football and still be in the CL but I'm 90% sure he will be a bhoy by tonight or Tomorrow just like last week when the bhoys unreilved JOVH+Naylor.

I can't beleive that The board have spashed this much cash on players in the last week, but in saying that they will be getting a reported £7.4 million from the sale of Petrov to Aston Villa so that would fund the JOVH+TG deal easy a some to spare to pay there wages not bad eh??

Well done to the board for holding out for a better fee for Stan The Man eh?? Who would have thought that Petrov would be sold for £7million I really thought when Pompey FIRST came in for him that would be it but no danger as the board sat and sat and waited but they probably knew that MON would be taking charge of Aston Villa so they just waited Nice one!!

yeah, I couldn't imagine we'd let Petrov go before we had Gravesen in. Heard rumours Lennon could be on his way if we get Gravesen. Personally, I think we'll need him as back up as Gravesen could get injured and we'd be screwed.

    That's true

It is quite frankly a myth that he is more defensively minded

He gets forward and attempts to make things happen
