Listen nobodys bringing this up to deflect attention away from our obviously poor and culpable defence but when you are being denied goals and penalty's etc... on an almost weekly basis something deserves to be said on it dose it not?

No doubt we have ourselves to blame but we'd be ahead of the huns if even half of these decisions wernt called incorrectly * even our own RB has spoken of these "curious decisions".

As for rangers being forced to play 4 games in 8 days they couldn't possibly have extended the season as that would have shown clear favouritism twords rangers, it was them themselves that had got into four competitions so they had to face the demands that were asked of them for doing that.

I agree that extending the league would have shown favouritism, and by forcing them to play 4 games in 8 days it definitely helped us win the league, no doubt about it. They were victims of their own success that season. My point is if the same happened to us, and we were forced to play the same amount of games in 8 days we would all be screaming about the injustice of it all and how it benefitted other teams, especially if the league was so tight. What about Aberdeen not getting a penalty for Borucs tackle on Sat ? We would most likely have lost that game and dropped another point but the ref never gave it, if he was biased against us then it was a perfect opportunity for him to penalise us. Its poor refereeing standards, not bias thats the problem in the SPL

To deny that there is ANY bias from officials in the Scottish game would be crassly naive on anyone's part. The factional christian demographic of this country is such that more of these "bad refereeing decisions",DO go the way of Rangers.Ask yourselves,in the heat of games, brought up as Tims, would we do it? Then equate that there are MORE of the ones brought up on the dark side,"the peepel",so as natural as it could be to us,it is inherent to them also.No referee has to be a rocket scientist to 'sway' a result, then to sheepishly admit a "mistake" in the largely Rangers leaning media(while laughing up their sleeve and dare I say winking with the relevant reporters.)Any claims of 'Evens out over a season',do hold some merit, exactly BECAUSE these refs are'nt rocket scientists, how many have gone into the papers recently to talk about a "mistake" that cost Rangers? Not many. Some of this is down to the fact that our team is partly doing the job for the MIB with our abysmal defence. There is not so much call for obvious bias because our team has shot itself in the foot too many times this season.Which makes it a more exceptional period for the referees to be doing JUST THAT!! As has always been the case,we can't just be better than them, refs can 'even that out', we have to be MUCH BETTER THAN THEM, only then when the strange objectivity of referees in this country becomes SO BAFFLINGLY RIDICULOUS on a game to game basis-with the relevant T.V. stuff etc,
can the higher governing bodies of UEFA/FIFA no longer turn a blind eye to this matter.

If you can't pick yourself up from dodgy decisions and win the games in question with proper football, then you don't deserve to be Champions. Plain and simple.

Always hated this cliche, so it's okay to get goals chopped off and penalties not awarded because if we were good enough we'd win the game anyway? We aren't good enough to still win against these dodgy decisions most of the time, simple as.

Fair points from original post, but the bottom line is we're not good enough as a Team to rise above all these conspiracy theories. Rangers biase was much worse in the 60's and 70's. Never stopped us winning 9 in a row!!

Not me am afraid, I'd have told the overpaid, over pampered jessies to get on with the job they're paid handsomely to do.

Boruc's "tackle"?...what, you mean when he basically did a star jump only for the Aberdeen player's own momentum to take him into Boruc?...How can Boruc be blamed for that? It's called inertia.

    Defenitin of inertia.

Physics. <table class="luna-Ent"><tbody><tr><td class="dnindex" width="25">a.</td> <td>the property of matter by which it retains its state of rest or its velocity along a straight line so long as it is not acted upon by an external force.</td></tr></tbody></table>
That "external force" was Boruc' outstretched body. :icon_mrgreen:

You see dodgy decisions up and down the country though mate, it's all good moaning, whining and complaining about our dodgy decisions but most of the folk who bring up these very topics turn a complete blind eye to the ammount of dodgy decisions the huns have had this year aswell.

Maybe or maybe not in the same numbers as us, but it doesn't matter. Also it may be a cliché but the fact remains that good goals get chopped off from time to time, dodgy offside decisions and penalties turned away by referees and the mark of a good team is wether they can win a game without letting these things get to them.

The players are on the field for 90 minutes. There is plenty of time to score the goals neccesary the better your opposition, yet you think that you can't win a game because of these decisions?

At the end of the day, our team doesn't seem to have the capability of scoring many goals never mind winning games. That isn't the decisions' fault though, nor the referees.

(And when we do score goals, we conceed just as many: Aberdeen 4-4, Falkirk 3-3 etc)

I can't really say much on this because I don't live in Scotland and don't really take notice to all these "dodgy" decisions, but I can't see some big conspiracy theory behind this. But maybe that's just me.

i see it more as the makings of a good side. remember this is its first season. when you have done enough it shouldnt matter how many chances you squander because the result is a win. when its snatched from you to favour them it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. to defend the said descisions is ludicrous when its laid in front of you in black and white regardless of how well/bad we play.

Channel67's the huddle show did a piece about refereeing inconsistencies tonight..

Must admit I switched the game off in injury time and missed Steven Maclean booting the ball away , several seconds before the final whistle , but saw it on the footage that was highlighted tonight.. Why was O'Dea booked for leaving the pitch at Keane's goal but Maclean wasn't booked for removing his shirt and leaving the pitch after scoring.. Why was Mcgeady booked for kicking the ball away while Maclean wasn't for the same crime.. One other thing they didn't pick up on was a blatant late challenge from Maclean on Mcgeady in 55 minutes where he hauled him down right in front of the ref.. The ball went to a Celtic player who was ready to play advanatge and then Brines blew up and called play back.. The broadcasters , ESPN I think it was that did the feed , flashed up that Mclean had been booked for the challenge so at the time I thought it was fair enough.. There is no other possible reason to then bring play back unless you are going to book the player.. We had an advantage which the ref denied us by calling play back and it was a bookable challenge.. That is the incompetence or bias we have had against us many times this season and while taken on their own they aren't massive incidents but when it's repeated over and again it's only fair to question why.. The two Mcgeady "dive" bookings for going to ground this season have been the only two incidents I've heard of where a player has been booked in a nothing incident in a nothing area of the pitch to try and gain an advantage.. Our players nearly always deserve their other bookings so no complaints there but other clubs players aren't getting the same punishment when they do the same..

some things have gone aganist us but because we are not that good we are looking at them, we should be out of site in most games, then we would not give a dam what these refs are doing....

With regard to McGeady, he knows its a bookable offence to kick the ball away irrespective of if an opposing player was booked for same offence or not. Aiden picks up so many avoidable bookings out of stupidty. I think the fact he is constantly sniping at referees verbally during games doesnt help his case. Does anyone know how far he is away from missing the Ibrox game just now through bookings ?

The question about advantage not being played was also something that happened to the other lot at the weekend, one of their players was through and ref blew for something that could have been played on. The standard of refereeing is very poor in the SPL for all teams just now.

To be fair, his comments concerning McGeady picking up silly cards, as well as with regard to the standard of refereeing are pretty much bang on in my opinion.
