I have to disagree with this, mate. Over the last few years (funnily enough whilst Rangers' financial situation has been getting steadily worse) other teams and their managers have been coming out and speaking their minds with regards to inconsistant refereeing which more often than not benefits one team, Rangers. Craig Levein and Gus McPherson are the two who spring to mind for their recent comments.

It's not only Celtic that are being shafted here, other SPL teams are being bent over and ridden and their management are slowly but surely voicing their discontent.

I may not be personally hammering on the doors of the SFA or be coming out with ideas on how we can change this, but if any ideas are put forward, I'll be there giving 100% backing.

This cheating has gone on for DECADES and it has not been, to my knowledge, any more obvious than this season and I for one, will NOT sit back and allow anyone to call me paranoid.

You have to keep the pressure up. They'd love for everyone to "move on" and let it slip from the spotlight, and we can't let that happen. The internet provides a great means of mass discussion, and we should utilise that to continue to press home the issue and educate people on what is going on.

I brought this up a couple of weeks ago and it got lost in the thread with a few people thinking it was a bad idea due to it not being the fault of other 10 clubs

I still think it should be looked at. We have to look after ourselves.

We are in a league of 12 teams who have to work together to ensure fairness is at eared to. the fact that all the other clubs know they are not going to win the league makes it harder for us to shout load enough as the other clubs know it doesn’t effect them.

If Man U got a pen against Chelsea and it wasn’t, it would not just be Chelsea doing the moaning, you would hear Arsenal shouting just as loud, & probably Liverpool and city into the bargain. That is why the EPL comes across as more balanced with decisions over the year.

So if the other clubs are not prepared to shout with us then we have to ask them to start making a better contributing to fairness within our game because as I have said earlier, the alternative of them losing our support may have to be considered.

1 man can't change much, but many, united, can. That's my reasoning in all this.

A single thread on a Celtic forum may not do much, but enough threads on enough forums and enough emails being sent to the right folk will unite all voices. You shouldn't under value the power of the internet. I'd bet my flat that Celtic players and board members alike, regularly check forums like these and as Peter Lawell is already making waves on this subject, I'd like to think that having my say on this forum has contributed in some way to this, no matter how small a contribution that may have been.

By moaning about it, it's making newspaper and radio headlines, so I'd suggest something is being done about it. It is being brought to the attention of people.

Celtic are doing something about it. They made it public knowledge, or leaked it to the public :86: that they are far from happy at refereeing decisions against the club.

The Farry fiasco should show everyone that we may be paranoid but that doesn't mean there not out to get us.

The time to complain about cheating referees, corrupt SFA and biased media was after Strachan's third title in a row. Doing it now is perceived as sour grapes, especially as every supporter in the country knows that the team has been * for most of the season

It's only perceived as sour grapes by the people who don't want to look at the facts. It's there in front of them.

Nobody is denying we've had a poor season outside of the refereeing decisions, that has to be made clear.

*sniff sniff*....?

The part in bold is 100% correct, this isn't and has never been disputed, however what can be regarded as "sour grapes" by complaining now?

Go read the entire content of the link in the original post and you tell me, with a straight face, that it's just "sour grapes".

I have been watching football for 26 years and I can honestly say that I have NEVER known a season like this one for blatantly bad/biased(call it what you will) officiating. It has, in all honesty, gone way beyond a joke this time round. The article, while being slightly selective in it's evidence at times, is for the most part spot on and highlights an embarassing range of decisions that have gone against Celtic or for Rangers this season.

Yes Celtic fans have complained about this subject for years but I really feel this season things have moved on to an even higher and more blatant level than EVER before. We must not be silenced and just throw our hands up in the air and accept that this is 'how it is' or that 'complaining about it won't change anything'. * that attitude! It is incumbent on both Celtic supporters and Celtic Football Club itself to continue to speak out against this intolerable standard of refereeing and the way it is swept under the carpet by the media and people running our game.

Failure to fight this is a dereliction of duty and will only lead to future generations of Celtic fans enduring the same * we are having to put up with now.

Immense article.

Only annoying thing is that he's left out a handful of decisions in his list. Such as the Samaras goal wrongly chopped off against Dundee Utd, and the Keane goal against Dundee Utd (different game).

This is getting ridiculous.

Yes decisions go against us all the time. What can be done? * all. end of.
It has always been this way and always will. Now out of the quoted number they pretty much all say the same thing so i think it is fair to say that the point has been made so let's put a lid on it.

If everyone feels that strongly make up the collage of * decisions and go to the SFA cause this is getting rather tedious

great article :50: though this was the best bit imo
The Establishment is always going to prevail under this media model; the only way to change things is to revise the model. Sites like Celtic Underground, Celtic Quick News, Kerrydale Street, ‘Mon the Hoops, E-Tims and a plethora of others, are eroding the Old Media’s influence via the Internet. You just need to ask your average Celtic fan for their views on the Scottish press and media and you don’t have to go too far to find total contempt. The more forums, blogs, podcasts and other fan generated media that becomes available, then the less influence the poodles in the Laptop Loyal will have setting the framework of the debate. Eventually when the printed media dies, or evolves into a more web-based form, it will have to compete with these fan generated sources and somewhere down the line they'll end up on the edge of the of the debate and the ones who persist in acting as nothing more than mouthpieces for the views and interests of Rangers FC will take over the mantle of the lunatic fringe, because the fans will be setting the parameters themselves. When this day comes, referees will no longer be free to skip around Ibrox dishing out yellow and red cards to Celtic players with impunity for imagined headbutts, scoring a goal in front of the Copland Road Stand or for being ginger and “niggly”.

My message to the Celtic Family is this – don’t buy the Daily Record, don’t buy the Sun, don’t phone Radio Snide, don’t phone Fake Radio, don’t engage with them, don’t give them the oxygen that keeps the beast breathing and fighting; and make no mistake; this beast wants to put a hose in your mouth and turn the ignition on, this beast wants to squeeze every last ounce of breath from you. You wouldn’t buy the Rangers News or subscribe to Rangers TV, so why the * would you subscribe to them under another guise? Because if you are buying and reading these newspapers and contributing to these radio phone-in shams, that is exactly what you are doing. We have to force them out of business, or at least to a place where the writing is on the wall for them.

that should tell us all something, if so many people feel this way is it logical to suggest we are all wrong, every single last one of us?? that is a hun media tactic and i despair when i read some Celtic fans saying theres nothing we can do about it; of course there is!!!

1)Dont buy the Record or the Sun as they cannot be trusted to provide accurate, impartial analysis

2)by all means go on radio call ins though do it like this guy did (i.e dont go on a rant!!) a couple months back, even if they do cut you off inevitably

3)Hound the * in the SFA, make banners, sing songs do anything you can as a Celtic fan to make your voice heard

this is NOT an excuse for this seasons performances but only a hun can say that the refereeing this year hasnt been worse than ever....it has!
