Can someone explain please why guys like Lesnar and Cena got to keep their real names? Even the Hardy's as well why were they allowed to use their names when others aren't?

 

if WWE own the rights to a stars name they can make big money from them if they leave if WWE don't have the rights to a stars name. and that star leaves WWE will miss out on thousands if not millions.

Aye I know but just wondering why they never done it with Cena or Lesnar they couldn't have predictted how big they would've been or they would have given then something they could copywrite

 

it could be in the contract when they sign with wwe maybe.

it's pretty much protection that way they still make a bit money if things go wrong.

 

The thing is the WWE actually owns all the rights to wrestlers names even if they use their own name when the sign with the company so I really don't get the changing Devitt, Kenta and Steen's names after they made such a big deal over their signings

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirms other reports from this week that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is not scheduled for next month's * In a Cell pay-per-view.

Brock may have a heart problem according to reports.

Finn Balor, the former Prince Devitt, made his WWE NXT TV debut at tonight's tapings from Full Sail University. Balor's debut will air on November 6th.

Hideo Itami, the former Kenta, had been promising that a friend of his was coming to help him battle The Ascension. That friend ended up being Balor. When he came out, the NXT Arena popped big time and the screen said "Prince Devitt" but quickly flashed to his new name, Finn Balor. Itami and Balor destroyed The Ascension and left them laying.
