PWInsider.com is reporting Kurt Angle is expected to appear on the post-WrestleMania 33 RAW on April 3rd in Orlando, Florida. Angle will be inducted earlier that weekend into the WWE Hall of Fame.
While it is not known what Angle's role will be, there is an obvious spot opening up for the General Manager of RAW with Mick Foley undergoing hip surgery soon.
Angle hasn't appeared live on WWE television in over a decade. His last match for WWE was at an ECW taping on August 8, 2006, where he wrestled Sabu to a no contest.






Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are no longer with TNA, according to PWInsider. Their deals expired in late 2016 and they had been working on per-appearance deals.
TNA officials have been trying to sign the couple to new deals. They reportedly agreed to terms at one point but later informed the company that they would not be re-signing. They will not be working this week's Impact Wrestling tapings.
Bennett and Kanellis join The Hardy Boys and Drew Galloway as notable talents now gone from the company.

The Wyatt Family has been splintered on the road to WrestleMania 33 … and now, to add further intrigue, Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Erick Rowan‘s been cleared to return.


As we previously reported, Rowan went under the knife to repair a torn rotator cuff back in October and it was expected that he’d be out of action until March.

Looks like that timeline was right on target, because we’re told he’s been given the green light.

Erick’s medical news couldn’t come at a better time. Bray Wyatt just recently won the WWE Championship and is currently feuding with Rowan’s former tag partner Luke Harper.

This week's WWE SmackDown, featuring Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews in a Chairs Match with Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James in a 2 of 3 Falls Match and John Cena on MizTV, drew 2.566 million viewers. This is down 8% from last week's 2.792 million viewers.

 

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger called in to Chael Sonnen's podcast this week and revealed that he has requested his release from WWE. Audio from the segment is above. Swagger said he requested the release yesterday and while it's still an "ongoing process," the decision came down to contract negotiations and the two sides were way off. Swagger said the company doesn't value him as much as he values himself and it's time to go.

Swagger added that he left WWE because he wasn't receiving opportunities. He's looking forward to wrestling in the UK, Mexico and Japan. Swagger also expressed interest in doing MMA if someone wants to pay him.

Swagger first signed with WWE back in 2006, later winning the World Heavyweight Title in 2009. Swagger has been off TV for a few months now and last wrestled at a live event in late January.
