Good story but never found it scary at all (my missus hates horrors and even she never flickered)...Think the 12 is about right for it.

    Enjoyable

I couldn't tell you, sorry. Couldn't even tell you what they've cut out, but yeah they cut 6seconds out to get it a 12a rating instead of a 15.:50:

I just watched this film for the first time just now and it really gave me the chills. I felt a cold shiver running through me on 4 or 5 occasions watching that.

Definitely one of the creepiest films I've ever watched.

I am a massive old-school horror fan and I enjoyed this. I am also a fan of the play so I was keen to see how they could adapt it for film.

For those who are keen horror fans, the pace is pretty in line with previous Hammer Horror movies (this is their first in ages I think). I did think the very last scene was a bit "hollywood" and would never have happened in a 1970s Hammer film - which kind of annoyed me. But even so certainly a lot better than most of the nonsensical hollywood horror that has been spewed out the last decade or so (I am looking at you Saw!)
