Apologies if there is already a thread. Couldn't find it if there is. Suggested this to my brother ages ago. He gave it up for a variety of reasons. I've nipped at him and he's giving it a go again. He's loving it. Sending me texts about different scenes. I'm going to give it a rewatch. Loved season 2. The whole docks storyline and union angle. What a show. Right up there with the vety best, if not THE BEST.

i remeber watching family guy and they took the * out of this (in a good way) about The Wire and Breaking Bad being the 2 best Tv Shows ever made. -

Is this quite a slow starter? I watched the first couple of episodes a while ago after hearing a lot of positive reviews but couldn’t get into it.
I probably didn’t give it enough time. -

Great show. Some outstanding characters in it- Omar, Jay Lansman, Rawls, Bunk, Stringer Bell to name a few.

I quite liked Daniels. The guy who started doing his boxing was good. Can't remember his name. The scene when he was asking Avon for the money to start up. He's all nervous, asking for ten grand, eventually Avon and Slim? burst out laughing. Gave him 15 grand.

Up there with the best. Gritty as * and covers street dealing all the way up to the political class. Was a good few years ago i watched it so if i get time (the hard bit) i'll definitely watch again. It's that good!!

I preferred The Shield myself. But it is an excellent show.
I felt once it lost a couple of characters it went slightly downhill for me. -
Binging it now. Criminal I’ve taken so long to watch it. I’m at the end of Season 1 and it’s getting really good. Started very slow I thought.

This is why most people give up on it. AS i said before it gets there & is a quality show
