Will pulling stomach in while doing cardio, weights or core help either to flatten or tighten it?

You don’t have to eat clean every single meal. Treat yourself 3 times a week to a meal of your choosing. I tend to have a treat breakfast, a treat lunch and a treat dinner every week. Also helps to reset the metabolism if you have a cheat meal. I cut down for my holidays and didn’t have a full week of clean eating during my 8 week cut.

    No mate

I know what you ate getting at here though I think , I may be wrong

When squatting for example there are benefits of the valsalva manoeuvre , take a huge breath into stomach then tense abs, this protects lower back as the bracing is 360 plus youd be bracing into a belt , complete rep then repeat before next rep.

When I first learned this I did it wrong , the way to tell if it's right or wrong is if your elbows or chest rise when taking the air in , this means air is going to chest and not stomach , when you figure it out you add weight to your lights ( squat, bench,DL)

Never heard of holding stomach in when curling , it's like those fad ideas like that belt that vibrates and makes you lose a few lbs.

Why though ? You are training arms , it won't accomplish anything more

I always pull in my stomach when breathing in and then breath it out. Just the way I've done it for years..

Was the way I was taught on Physical Training Instructors Course.. was a while ago tho.

    quality bunk,keep it up.

done some core excercises today, got weight training tomorrow going to concentrate on quality of rep and technique.going to try prepare my meals for the week.as can get quite busy & end up eating * on the go all the time.my diet pretty decent but still need to make improvements in certain areas.i have put just on just over on 1 n a half kilos of fat free mass, the last three months,so im puting muscle on, just slowly though.still do quite a bit of cardio, only thing im gutted at is stomach has only lost an inch in 3 months,so might need adjustments there.i know I should do cardio after a workout to try burn troublesome fat,but usually shatterd,so end up doing it anytime.need to make adjustments there, but all in all I feel good and looking better so im pretty pleased with myself, even though progress can be slow.my advice to anybody is try n keep consistency, dont beat yourself up if you miss a a few days or binge, start again, get back in there.its okay to * up from time to time.

Had to go into a mini cut was gaining too much fat, lost all view of any abs so was * with my head.

Lost 9lbs in 7 days and got some defenition back.

Going to move onto a 6 week T3 cycle maybe through in some Clen.

Been performing stomach vacuums to try and tighten up the interior muscles as my lower stomach seems to sit out a bit, noticing an improvement so far.

Amazing, cracked * out of my neck and back, poked and stretched me. Also my posture wasn’t as bad as I thought. Need to stretch my chest daily, do more lower back work and i’ll be laughing.

Away to get foam roller’d and resistance band’d out ma nut.

I keep waking up with stiff ankles, stiff calves and feeling like I need to crack my feet. It has only been happening the past week. Still been going to the gym regularly and played squad and did cardio tonight. Maybe I need to start stretching off before bed.

Totally found that “groove” now recently with training and diet both have been dialled right in.

While everything else in life falls apart at least I’ve got this :giggle1:

Anyway seeing great results and my shoulder is getting better since I’ve cancelled out exercises that were aggravating it.

Lower ab and fat round the waist is slowly coming away and about time as I don’t think I’ve an ounce of fat to lose anywhere else.

    6 pack coming :brendy:
