So many variables with those machines, ie how much water you’re holding etc

The only true accurate way is a full body dexa scan.

Best thing you can do is just buy a set of calipers and some measuring tape, regularly measure yourself and use a few online calculators to get an average reading.

Never used a mass gainer as such but have used all-in-ones before, Cyclone and Hurricane etc. Definitely work and if you falter on the workouts you get fat.

Tbh I try and swerve supplements these days. Eat plenty chicken and fish and that suffices. If I had to take something it would be BCAAs or L-glutamine. May look at stuff for cutting soon mind.

Creatine provides rapid results, proper pump but a lot of it is water retention, I think, could be wrong but I seem to remember reading that and it does feel like it too.

Just to show how * up even calipers can be, I have some digital body fat calipers and done the Jackson pollock 7 site reading.

On one of my body trackers has me at 9.84% body fat :56: I can assure you I’m a million miles away from sub 10% body fat, that’s men’s health shredded 6 pack material.

    I’m closer to a true 15% than a 10% at the moment.

I think my readings get screwed because anywhere on my body apart from abdomen and chest I can barely even pinch a few millimetres of fat.

Back at the gym for the first time in about a week. Hurt my back 3 weeks ago now, still bothering me. I tried lega last week and exacerbated the muscle that's hurting, so I've taken it easy since. Good to get back tho, worked chest and shoulders. Crazy how even a week off can affect your power, had to drop the weight on bench and chest fly's a bit.

Got on the scale today... i * lost 3 pounds in 4 days. Did nothing, hit the gym once. Ate Mcdonalds twice, sat on my *, still lost weight.

I'm gonna start lifting heavy and lowering the reps, and really focus on getting protein and carbs into me. Wish I could just turn off metabolism for a week :giggle1:

Ive started drinking a lot more water lately. About 3-4 litres as well as a cup of coffee and one or two cups of tea a day. Before I was drinking about 750ml-1 litre and 4-5 cups of coffee/tea.

Such a small and obvious thing but really makes such a difference to how you feel when you’re properly hydrated.

Gonna start trying to get a bit of a routine rather than just lifting weights as many times as I can throughout the day and see how the results pan out. Did legs today and I know it sounds weird but I'm excited to see how sore I am tomorrow since I actually made an effort to do a proper routine.
Been doing hiit stuff in the house aswell and that's been enjoyable too.

Just starting out with benchpress and bicep curls. After the first few days my arms and shoulders were killing me but im noticing im building muscle quite fast, always have done but as mentioned above i wanna get a routine going so i can measure my progress.

Smoking weed is a bit of a problem and doesn't do me me any favours.Alot harder to find the energy to do sets but i can manage it now ive got my mind set on improving my health and theres a million reasons why ive cut down and gunna stop smoking for good in the near future.
Also going on bike rides has done my health the world of good.
Theres also rockclimbing i do twice a week at the college which works alot of the muscles you dont usually use, i would recommend that to anyone, its good fun too, got well into it.

Done a boxing class at the gym last night, measured my bodyfat again, 9.6% this time and not the slightest visual sign of abs :56::thumbsdow

Was at the gym for 6am this morning training chest, arms and a little bit abs too.

Been going heavy for the last 4 days and can already feel a huge difference, especially post workout. I am destroying my body and it feels great :giggle1:.

Hopefully this + continuing to focus on upping my protein and carb intake will result in getting back on track to my goal.

At least you're working at it. The results will come, just need to keep the grind going.

So many people who are diabetic or have hypertension, high cholesterol, ect... do absolutely nothing to help their cause.

@TimFloyd That wasn't meant to imply you had any of those conditions* :giggle1:. Rereading it now, it could be interpreted in poor taste.

Just came in here to post my guilt at the Easter over-indulgence but don't feel as bad seeing people are in the same boat!
Managed to get into a decent groove last week with more structured workouts doing a specific body part each day rather than just doing as many curls or whatever I feel like doing as I can whenever I go near my front room. Will need to make a few tweaks though cause I've not really been feeling it the next day so will probably need to go a bit heavier or add more sets.
Gonna up the hiit aswell cause I'm finding it a bit too easy, only doing something like 10/11 minutes right enough.
Should help to undo all the Easter damage anyway!
