Had a bit of a dip the last few days, Burger King yesterday and chipper after the pub on Saturday and didn’t get out for a run at all. Before that I hadn’t really eaten anything that you’d consider to be massively unhealthy since New Years.

Back training tonight though and have a match Sunday so I’m off all * food until Sunday night at least.

I've been avoiding junk too. Amazing how much I'm craving it though. Had a KFC on Friday and it felt like I was eating drugs. Wanted another straight away.

Other than that, my diet has been spot on. Lots of salad and fruit, plenty of protein and low sugar intake.

Did legs last night at the gym, with some running as a warm up. Shoulders and chest tonight.

Done 6 days out of 7 since starting last week. Minimum of an hour each time.

Pretty chuffed with that and feeling the benefits already. Got more energy and in general feel a bit happier day to day.

Got a couple nights out this weekend however so will need to watch myself. Done an extra bit tonight then back to it on Sunday.

Same as Monaghan I'm gonna be binging this Saturday for the game then straight out but gonna keep doing what I'm doing at the minute through the week anyway..

Getting new disc brakes fitted to my mountain bike next week, then time to get back out on the trails-my fitness is at an all time low just now.
Really need to push myself-and getting the bike sorted should give me the kick up the backside I need.
My rear brake was binding, and can no longer get spares or serviceable parts for them so its a brand new set for me

Any suggestions on a good upper back workout? I cannot seem to find a decent way of hitting it. Tried lat pulldowns and seated row, and a few dumbbell exercises but I'm only feeling it in my biceps and shoulders.

I have a few lower back workouts that absolutely destroy me, but I can't seem to find that similar effect for upper back.

Have you tried adjusting your form? Could be as simple as that.

    Cheers bud.

@Minty I've done a few changes with my lat pull downs and seated rows with weight and hand placement but still getting the same effect.

Heard bent over row is pretty decent, will probably give that a go tomorrow.

Make sure your form is spot on, like 100%

Sounds like you are going too heavy if you feel it in your arms.

Lower the poundage and concentrate on contracting your back, really squeeze your shoulder blades together mate and hold it for a second. Leave the ego at the door and focus on form.

First full week back at the gym, nailed my calories/macros all week.

Still working my way through the holiday weight gain, losing about 2-3lbs a week and didn’t do any cardio apart from 20 mins HIIT after my leg session today.

Have had to sack the carb diet it just doesn’t keep me satisfied, so have switched back to keto.

More weights last night. 5 sets on the bench press and 5 sets of dumbbell flyes. 75 press ups to finish.
