I've hit a lull with my weight loss, I'm 4lbs off the target I set myself and the past 4 weeks have been a right off the diet . I had put on 5.5lbs while I was in Lanzarote but I've managed to shift that in the past week... To be honest I was totally surprised that I had lost it at weigh in.

I've not been out walking much recently apart from walking to work while is about 1km so I've bugged my son this morning to go out with a walk with me which we're leaving for shortly.

Also decided to give up the cigs and not had one since Monday at 4pm, not gone cold turkey, using one of those ecigs and it's working a treat....I know it's very early days but hopefully I manage to stay off them.

Well done Tim :50: I know a lot of people who haven't smoked a cig for a year or more and can't get off the cig, guy I work with spends a fortune on them between upgrading and the liquids, it's his new addiction. I'll probably end up the same.

I spoke previously to my GP about giving up and she advised me to concentrate on the weight loss and then try stop smoking and now I'm nearly at my target, and with moving house and Christmas around the corner I could do with saving a bit so thought there was no time like the present.

I've tried so many times before and failed, hopefully manage it this time.

Aye you can spend a fair bit on the battery, chamber thing and then the oils , although I was smoking about 30 a day so it is was far cheaper anyway. Having said that I was recently dragged round the shops and was in Home bargains and B&M and both these shops sell the oil stuff at 99p a pop the chambers are also 99p and the whole thing battery, chamber and charger for £6 which is cheaper than what I was paying. I have tried them and I can't tell the difference so all in all I probably spend about 3/4 quid a week now.

Yeah, I've used an ecig for a while, use it at the games and at night when the weather is bad as I don't smoke in the house and have bought the ones Poundland do and they are fine. I had to get a new ecig as the battery was gone in my old one and I've upgraded it, still one of the slimline ones but it's a lot better vapour wise.

That's some saving, can't even get 10 cigs for £4 now so well worth it, plus the benefit you get health wise :50:

Ah Jeannie, it must be difficult being at home all the time so you're bound to comfort eat. I've been overweight for many years but started putting the weight on when my Dad was ill in hospital and after his passing, I was comfort eating and to the extreme at times.

Like you I seem to be stuck and can't shift the last wee bit I want to shift. I had hope to reach the 5 stone loss but struggling to get off the last 2.5lb to 4.5 stone loss, so doubt I'll lower my target any further.

I'm not even losing it where I want to, my stomach ( although my hernia isn't helping) but it's my hips and legs that seem to be where it coming from. Got myself a pair of skinny jeans 3 months ago and twice I've had to take them in, my thighs have lost over 4 inches each in the past two months yet my waist is the same....annoying as * :47:

I hope you manage to shift those wee extra pounds for your holiday hunni, I know how much better you'll feel within yourself if you do. If I don't speak to you before then I hope you have a great holiday :celt_2:

Awwe ty I'm so looking forward to the break :) I think there's this thing called body set weight where we are meant to be a certain weight but I'm not going to get complacent. I still weigh myself every morning and I think if I didn't I would pile it on again. Imagine losing 4.5 stone! you've done brilliant:) I think the weight loss is just the start of it though as your shape changes over time so just keep it up. You can get caught between two sizes which is inconvenient :p I know I can do it as I was down to about 8st 3Ibs at one point so as of tomorrow I'm back on it again ;) If I don't my holiday gear wont fit

Seriously considering trying Keto, or at the very least, low carb.

Lost a stone over the last fortnight due to cutting all the * out of my diet(crisps, chocolate etc,) but I always get to the same point where I don't replace the calories and end up barely eating anything, I've managed just over 1500 calories most of the two weeks but feel like I should be more in the 2500 range.

Looks like the way to go for me and carbs are a huge down-fall for me but recently haven't been craving them at-all, Pizza being my favourite food I haven't had a slice in over a month.

I've got probably over 100 pounds to lose, partially * it with the pretty high fat in-take though considering I am already ridiculously over weight.

If you're 100 pounds overweight you defo need to eat more calories because the weight will still fall off you.

And eating that little is setting you up to fall when there is no need

    Use a macro calculator

Had my first gym session in a few months this morning.

Felt good to get back under a barbell and lifting *.

Just started off with a basic 5x5 and a moderate weight to get back in to the swing of things.

Amazing what a bit of lifting can do for your mind as well feel a bit more chilled after having some * on my mind

I really want to try lifting light weights in the new year to tone up my arms but for some odd reason my inner elbows have started to get sore just working around generally :54: Don't know if it's RSI from working with mum or if I'm getting arthritis. I've started taking a tbs of olive oil every day, also things like cashews, brazils, pumpkin seeds, Kefir with fruits like mango/cherries and dark chocolate to help boost my system and naturally reduce inflammation. Good thing is with taking all that I don't eat biscuits :57: I only gained 1.06Ib from my holiday :celt_2: Still stuck though at 9st 3Ibs :97:

You could maybe look in to cannabinoid oil? Or cbd oil for short.

It seems to have a wide range of benefits and don't worry it's non psychoactive so you can't get high on it lol

Like you, I've been stuck at a certain weight for a few weeks.

Wish I could get away with 1lb on holiday, in tend to gain at least a stone :56:

Put 6 of the 9 stone I've lost back on, most of it has been because I've barely moved from a sofa for 3 months and stopped exercising in January, face is full of acne because I went back to chocolate and fizzy drinks.

Hits ye hard, stick with the diets people, it will save you money and doing what I did will only make you feel *.

Stopped the chocolate 2 days ago and the fizzy drinks yesterday, just need to start exercising again now.

It's an annoying feeling as you know you enjoy it when you start but it's the thought of it. Start up slow again till you get back to your routine.
