    * up this week.

Lost about a stone and a half over the summer. ( No drink apart from the Ireland games, getting up at 6 and skipping for 8 sets of 3mins then weights on a night after work.)

Got up on Saturday but sacked the skipping off as I kept dropping skips, did the weights then had a few Guinness. Sunday had a few which turned into 17 Guinness. Didn't bother doing anything on Monday or Tuesday. Then decided to have a few last night and have carried it on tonight.

Will get back to it on Sat.

Played my first game last night since coming back from holidays and my hamstrings are hanging off me today. Only played about 60 minutes as well.

Diet + extra training starts Monday. :smiley-laughing002:

Anyone ever tried crossfit with much success? Heard mixed things about it but generally people seem to agree that the results can be amazing provided you can avoid injury. Considering trying it out but a bit out of by the price and cult like following.

The results can be good but you open yourself up to so many injuries doing it, there are much better alternatives. Watch the crossfit games and the amount of stupid * they do is unbelievable, at one point they had these lassies running with weight vests on and half of them passed out and needed medical attention.
I personally would give it a miss.

I've whacked the weight on this year first time in my life that I have a belly and * trying to cut my food down but * me it hard once you hit 30 just 10x harder I hate to think how hard it will be when I hit the big 40. I'm tempted to buy myself one of those standing punch bags as I just find lifting weight so boring now.

Think today is the first time I've ever been to the gym on a Sunday. Good cardio workout.

MyFitnessPal has been a real help also. Trying to stick to 2000 calories or less per day which I have done for the most part. Aiming to get down to 13 stone or as close as possible by the start of October, currently borderline 14

I'll probably just add in a PT session or two a week, cheaper than the CrossFit membership and hopefully better results.

Been walking a bit myself the past 5-6 weeks, managing about 5-6 km a day.... I go out after tea and walk with my son....had been walking to work most mornings but unfortunately I've stopped doing that....maybe take it up again soon.

Well done to you too! You're doing brilliant :50:

Just did some stair climbing for the first time  * gets your heart going :smiley-laughing002: I only went up and down them 10 times and I need an oxygen tent :smiley-laughing002: Hearts going like the clappers so I must have done something right :icon_mrgreen: Funny thing is I never thought of doing that before. Tomorrow night I'm going to try climbing for 10 minutes because I'm not sure how long my 10 flights took me.

I'm on a real health kick again and have started taking Milk Kefir made from milk grains. It's a bit like yogurt when fermented and I just chuck it in the blender with fruit, ground flaxseed, and pure organic whey protein :celt_2: It ends up like a lovely creamy smoothie and it's supposed to be good for your immune system and overall digestive health which I think is no bad thing. I've got hubby on it too and macho man is getting on the bike and work bench every night :smiley-laughing002: We bought this wee tube of effervescent electrolyte tablets from lidl today and he had one of those mixed with water before his workout :celt_2: When I get crackpot ideas I sell them to him :smiley-laughing002: Ach well life is never dull around me :icon_mrgreen:

Been eating well last few weeks and felt my fitness go up as I have been doing more a lot more cardio, completely lost the motivation to do weight lifting/body building movements as they bore me to tears now. Always end up * up on Friday nights and meeting my friends for a few beers and go overboard, tried the gym on friday night last week but it just wasn't the same. :smiley-laughing002:

    Lol, I feeel his pain!:smiley-laughing002:

Good on you though & Marie.

I find that a health kick, whilst in a long term relationship has to be shared by both, or it doesn't work as easily.
Both myself & the missus lost a stone each in 2 months for going on holiday. Kept eachother going.

Down two kilograms in ten days or so, but still another twenty to go before I'm at what's even REMOTELY ideal for my height/age. :54:

Chins up. You'll get there, just don't expect it to happen overnight.

I've stopped the fizzy juice, maybe one can a week with a takeaway. Stopped buying bars of chocolate and cutting right down on crisps. Losing my belly fat slowly but surely. Rubbish not seeing the effects quickly but just have to stick to it.

I still have one fizzy per day, but only a small light/diet cola with dinner. And I only drink when watching Celtic play (and even then, it's usually light beer or something).

Will get there, but as you say, it's slow going. :50:

I'm quite proud of myself. I bought a scale last week and found I've lost almost 25lbs since July. I'd still like to lose another 20 but diet change is really such a massive factor, and keto works wonders.
