Not a case of choosing to be offended, not at all. Doesn't have the remotest chance of spoiling my day, but if, on a public forum, alternating views cannot be abided, then may I suggest you wrap this place and make it a blog?

Yes, there are some fans who hate on Strachan for less than admirable reasons, but they pay their money and take their choice, and have a right to their opinions. Celtic, in there current form as a PLC are less of a dictatorship than ever before. More people than ever have the right to air their beliefs, whether I or anyone else agree with them.

I'm aware of 3IAR, I'm aware of last 16x2, I am, no need to state them again. I'm interested in the long term future of the club, and I'm not at all convinced on the current foundations.

And yes. Rangers are *. And honestly, thank * for that.

Wrong. If things continue as are the ratio will be 85% in favour against 15%. Check your facts.

I have to congratulate supermike, Hammer and Greendave in particular for some good posts throughout this thread, which I completely agree with. I raised the point in another thread about these backwards thinking fans, and I fear for the time when Strach decides he has had enough of these Hunnish Celtic fans, and goes.

Who wants to manage a club like this when even success is met with derision?

"It comes from what goes on in the big green rectangle in front of the stands ."
Ironically enough, that's almost a direct quote to a Strachan riposte in an interview :87:

why just direct your view to me,i read above that 71% are happy with the wee man

so the other side to that is the rest are not happy. To direct "check your facts" to me alone is selective ,

    come on man fairs fair

Rangers failed to make the hard choices when they had to be made, Celtic made the choices, got pelters for it, and we are in a far better situation financially because of it. Of course, very few will recognise that fact though and GS is one of the main people responsible for the successful transition to a sustainable future.

Well I could try and delete some space in my inbox, just so I can track you down and send you a PM urging you to change your post as it's misleading to the conversation.

Or I could just post it here... Didn't mean to offend

I know and we all know fans who have no time whatsoever for WGS.Not once has his religion or his lack of a Celtic background been used as a reason for their dislike.

I agree that WGS has had a hard time from a section of the support,I simply dont accept that there is a religious dimension to this as GD suggests in his post

    Nope.

But the responses so far have thankfully reinforced my belief that the fans I'm referring to are a vocal minority.

The problem is that the criticism of the manager is so ferocious, often irrational and occasionally ridiculous that the majority of fans who appreciate the manager can't be arsed trying to argue their case.

This was a great post, most of which i agree with, totally. But i'd like to know why Mark Brown "isn't good enough to replace Boruc"?? He had 3 games to prove himself against motherwell, killie and the accies, during which he conceded only one goal to the latter of the three. Surely as with any footballer a run in the team would only breed confidence!? If Boruc *-up again, i say hand the reigns to Brown. Make Artur sweat and realise his names not a formality on the team sheet.

It's not a matter of not letting fans with alternate views air them. You have answered the original post with a post that is totally on the defensive as if the post was aimed at people with your viewpoint. It's as if you blindly hit back when no punch was thrown.

Answer the question in this thread and not one that was probably put on one of the may other Strachan threads.

So that would be you then.

No manager is above criticism, and rightly so. After the defeat in Denmark, I criticised him for being indecisive with his subs and costing us a place in the UEFA Cup.

But criticism must be tempered with respect.
