Mbappe to PSG shouldn't be allowed. The neymar transfer was already too much. Where the * is financial fair play? There should really be a cap on what these teams can spend.

Apart from tearing it up in China and emerging as a key player for Brazil? Not much.

Tearing up China is like boasting about tearing up the Scottish championship :giggle2: The current Brazil side isn't really great either. Obviously there's always potential with the talent they produce.

The China thing is tongue-in-cheek but he's genuinely been one of the best players for Brazil and a key part of their recent resurgence. Still a bonkers signing but he's an upgrade on Gomes.

Hard to tell when it's just text. I'm terrible at reading through the lines. Have a feeling Brazil are going to continue to threaten to become a top team again but will never reach the level most of us grew up watching. Gone are the days when everyone looked forward to the world cup as we'd get to see Brazil.

They've improved a great deal compared to the state they were in under Scolari post-World Cup and the stagnation with Dunga. Tite knows his stuff. Head and shoulders above everyone else in the South American WC qualifiers, especially when compared to Argentina who are struggling to qualify.

1 loss from 14 games is some feat given the standard of opposition and all of the tough away trips. Last time Brazil qualified for a WC (didn't have to as hosts for 14') they ended up with 34 points from 18 games, this time they're already on 33 points after 14 games.

That is impressive as even teams like Bolivia are tough away with the altitude.

Have they been exciting to watch or just functional like most teams these days? When I refer to the old days I mean in terms of how unreal they were to watch. Started a thread about that a while ago and thing I forgot to reply and it died quickly lol. Oh to go back to the game of 15+ years ago.

Should try and get Van Dijk whilst they are at it. That defence is a * shambles.

I'm not so sure about that tbh mate, but the wee man is class. I think take away the cuntyness of Neymar and he is a class player.

The most frustrating thing about the *. If he wised up and knuckled down he could've been Messi's heir but he obviously has other ideas. Like Zlatan anything he does will be written of as it's "only" Ligue 1.

I've only seen a couple of their recent games, they're right up there in terms of scoring and their collective attack, maybe not the individual brilliance of Brazil teams from the past but that's always going to be a hard standard to live up to.

They've scored 35 and conceded 10 over the 14 qualifying games, the next best team in terms of GD is Uruguay with 26 scored and 17 conceded. It's not just the Neymar show either, he's the top scorer with 6 but there's a bunch who've scored 3 (Willian, Augusto, Coutinho), with Paulinho and Jesus having scored 4.
