Tierney is a better crosser than Robertson

I don't think Robertson beats Tierney in any aspect of the game.

Yeah, its remarkable the fees they get for their rejects - even Jese went for 25 million which PSG themselves recognize was a big mistake

Guinea international, 25 caps, 22 y/o. Moved to France and failed a couple of trials at Lens and Lorient before being picked up by Istres in the second division. Played a season there before being signed by RB Salzburg, who developed him for a couple of seasons and then moved him on to RB Leipzig when they won promotion to the Bundesliga.

He's a box-to-box type, strong for his relatively modest height and can chip in with goals as well (8 in his first Bundesliga season).

An initial £58m potentially rising to about £70m with add-ons. Much cheaper than Lukaku (£75m-£90m) and the other big guy on the market in Belotti (£88.4m release clause). About the same price as BVB are shopping Aubameyang for but obviously more value as Morata is 3-4 years younger.

Big time mate. Over €100m for 2 squad players has to be applauded. It'll be fun to see if they go for Mbappe this summer or next that's where I think the money will go though I don't think Mayoral to do much that's what's making me think they'll need someone else in.

Why are Man City signing Danilo when they just signed Walker.

About £70m/£80m blown on 2 right backs?

Pleased for Robertson though working under Klopp will do wonders for him

Never seen either play LB mate but it would be a strange one either way to spend 30-50m on a RB by trade and play him at LB.

I thought they were nailed on to sign that Mendy from Monaco for LB.

I edited my post with a link mate, looks like Danilo can play midfield aswell, that may be Pep's thinking, we know he loves tinkering with positions of players.

Manchester City have swooped on Real Madrid man Danilo with a view to playing him in THREE different positions next season.

The Blues have been cited as splashing out £26.5 million simply to add the Brazil international to Kyle Walker in filling the right back slots vacated by Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna .

Danilo has always played principally as a right back – but Pep Guardiola has plans for the 26-year-old, who the Blues are favourites to sign despite strong interest from Chelsea.

Versatile Danilo is also earmarked as a left back - a position he has occasionally played for Real Madrid - and a defensive midfielder in Guardiola's squad next season.

That means he will provide competition for Walker and hopefully for Benjamin Mendy, who remains the Blues' prime target for left back, if they can close out a deal with Monaco.

But Danilo will also re-stock the central midfield positions, a position he played for Santos in the 2011 Copa Libertadores final - and from where he scored the winning goal.

Despite making his name as a full back, he has always wanted to play in a central role, saying: “I am most happy playing in the middle of the park. I like to play close to the goal.”

With Fernando heading for the exit door, with Galatasaray hopeful of sorting out a deal for him, the Blues feel they would not need to buy another central midfielder.

They've released: Zabaleta, Sagna, Clichy. Need bodies at fullback.

If Pep turns him back into some semblance of the Porto Danilo it will look a decent buy. Many a good player has crumbled under the weight of expectations at Real.

AS MONACO regretfully notice that « important » European football clubs made contacts with Kylian Mbappé (and his entourage) without its authorization.

AS MONACO want to remind to these clubs that such actions are contrary to the article 211 of the Administrative regulation of the French Football League (Ligue de Football Professionnel) and to the article 18.3 of the Regulation of the Status and the Transfer of the Players of FIFA.

To put an end to this unacceptable situation, AS Monaco consider asking the French Football League (Ligue de Football Professionnel) and the FIFA to commit disciplinary procedures against clubs offenders.

Little pea, £17mill is a right steal.

Thing with him is generally he's got a fantastic scoring record at nearly every club he's played, given his limited starts at Utd he appeared for them what? 150 something times probably 75% of that from the bench and still bagged 59 goals or something.

At leverkusen he's played something like 70ish games and is on 40ish goals I think.

Could be a tidy player for west ham. Really just highlights the point of buying outside the English leagues a dtbe quality that can be had for a relative pittance compared to the fees paid in the EPL for players.
