Don't know who it was, must have been an ex-City player, was saying Hart is only off because Guardiola wants a keeper who can play out from the back (I actually think this is Hart's only decent attribute but whatever).

He then goes on to say, "if the likes of Bayern, Madrid or Barca come in for him, I reckon Joe might be tempted."

:smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:. Might have been the media attention * Barton, he has been spouting * about how disgusting it is and how the club he played for wouldn't treat players like that :56:. Was ok for him to put cigars out on youth team players and batter team mates but :smiley-laughing002:

You wonder what Arsenal are even trying to do any more. Are they actually just happy to be permanantly 4th?

As mental as the transfer fees for the likes of Sterling and Stones are, it's the fees for bang average players that catches my eye.

James Tomkins - £10m to Crystal Palace
Andros Townsend - £13m to Crystal Palace
Yannick Bolasie - £25m to Everton

    Incredible

    Yeah this true. :smiley-laughing002:

It's absolutely mindboggling when a relegation threatened team like Crystal Palace just spends money on Tomkins, Townsend and Benteke (who've all been in relegation fights in the past few seasons themselves) like it's absolutely nothing. Mental.

Probably. It isn't even guaranteed now but at least the board and Wenger (their puppet) can spout that it's a tough league, competitive and difficult to compete.

Was reading that their board is literally filled with pensioners - every one of them is over 60, most pushing 70 and above. :56:They don't have any youth or virility within the board, folk who understand the modern game and the needs of the fans. It's massively stale.

And that Usmanov who owns like 38% of the club and said he'd spend plenty if he was the major shareholder is thinking about packing it in now, he's gotten nowhere with Kroenke in 8 years.

Was reading on FB that Kroenke pretty much uses Arsenal as corporate leverage and a means to inflate his assets and credit score in the states. His ability to gain funding for large-scale ventures is predicated on him having tangible assets and decent liquidity and Arsenal is exactly that.

Taken for mugs. Kroenke won't give a * because they still pay, there is still plenty of doe flying in and it doesn't rock any of his boats. Arsene won't care because he's paid £10m a year, has his slippers on and his wee pipe and can go about the same old, same old and usually get a top 4.

Leiva is on the verge of going to AC Milan, from what i have seen. Think it's a loan deal rather than permanent, could be wrong though

This spending can't last. The whole structure will come crashing down sooner or later.

In fairness Alex McCarthy is a good buy at £2m, IMO.

We should have been all over that. I rate him as a GK.

    Mental.

Though to be fair, I think McCormack and Ritchie are class acts at Championship level. Both slightly overpriced but still good players.

Some of the rest are ridiculous.

Looking at that list of players makes the fact we got Sinclair for £3.5m even more incredible, don't you think?:56:
