I thought Pep wanted Ter Stegan?

He seemed out of favour by Barca too.

Makes more sense for Barca to keep Ter Stegen, long term. Better keeper than Diego Alves as well.

ter Stegen was only allowed to leave if City paid his release clause which is €80m, Pep didn't want to pay that.

Good to see Joe Hart getting took down a peg. Can't stand the guy and the English media hail him as something special.

Big Frasers twice the goalie imo.

Liverpool have rejected a £23 million bid, and an additional £7 million in add-ons , for Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace.

Crazy. Mental that he's valued anywhere near that for a start.

Probably a good move by Liverpool, Palace need a striker and Benteke is the best they can get, Liverpool will know too that they probably have £50/60/70/80million to spend so can hold them to ransom and get more out them.

To be honest, looking at some of the fees that are being banded about down there, 23 million actually looks like good value for money...

Got to laugh at sky sports news presenters gobsmacked that Joe Hart has been dropped. One even asked if Bravo was a better keeper and when told yes, he looked shocked :smiley-laughing002:. He then said yeah but is he a better shot stopper, was told yes again haha. Bravo is far better than Hart!

They interviewed some City fans yesterday asking them how they feel about Hart being offski, the first said he can't understand it, the second said we all love him but it's up to Guardiola...then third was a bunch of wee American kids (City fans? nae bother) who said "he's the best goalie in the world!".

People live in their own wee bubble when it comes to the EPL, where transfers like Sterling for £49 million happens and people don't even bat and eyelid and presume it's what should happen (not having a go at Sterling as he's done quite well so far under Pep). They also assume guys like Smalling, Cahill and Jagielka are top class defenders but in reality would be laughed at in other leagues due to the obvious flaws in their respective games.

I mean look at how someone like Kane did last season and yet stunk up the Euros, not saying he's not a good striker but these players elevated to a status they really shouldn't be at.
