Could be but he's a world class player, one of the best technical and link-up strikers in the game. Not much like Suarez but the type of player who has and can win Leagues and turn it on in big games.

He will probably mature at some point too, he's 24 now.

 

Liverpool just agreed fee for Balotelli 16m

Seems like it will happen then, be interesting to see how he fits in. Liverpool seem to always get good luck with their strikers too.

Fowler, Owen, Heskey, Kuyt, Torres, Suarez and Sturridge seemed to either all do better than expected or perform better than their actual ability, even Crouch done well for them. Kuyt, Fowler and Heskey were fairly limited players but Kuyt and Heskey put in good shifts a lot on the wings and chipped in with more goals than you'd probably usually get. Fowler, Owen and Torres werent the most talented of strikers yet scored for fun. Suarez, Sturridge and Balotelli are really the only good allround players, first two have done great for them.

Still had their Cisse, Baros, Borini and Aspas' though. But in general they'd done really well considering none of them cost that much.

 

Yea Agreed they always seem to have a talisman.
Considering what the Big Clubs are paying for international strikers at the moment its not a bad deal either. I dare say he will have his off field demons too but will be a really good side this season and he'll make the game more interesting thats for sure.

Wonder why he's only costing £16million anyway. Thats what has been paid for the likes of Mandzukic, Soldado and Negredo who arent near as good. Man U would probably get that for Javier Hernandez as well. Unless he's on mega wages of about £200k a week.

 

Not sure where the fee came from TBH, i would have thought about 30m in comparison to others. Maybe his previous baggage eh????

 

I dunno about Balotelli, mans clearly talented but he is quite inconsistent I think. Might pull out something magical from nothing but he can be very wasteful too.

I think Mandzukic would get you more goals than Balotelli personally. Balotelli's got more in his locker but for just someone to get you goals, Mandzukic is more reliable I think.

 

The fact he is a nutcase and AC Milan could do with the cash and it will free up a lot of wages.

Probably but £16million is heehaw nowadays, Southampton just signed Long for £12million and Lallana went for £20million, they arent even worthy of cutting his hair.

Their fans wont be though, 30 goals and 12 assists in 54 games. No danger will they replace that, especially for £16million.

Balotelli is an absolute bargain at £16 million.

 

Only thing holding the Balotelli deal up is his bad behaviour clause in his contract basically giving LFC the right to dock his wages if he misbehaves

 

Fair play to Liverpool. They lost Suarez for so many games due to his cannibalism. Probably once bitten and all that *.(pardon the pun)
Ballotelli is no stranger to bans either so probably protecting their investment.
