He'd still be a solid option for a season or two, if they're forced to wait for Luke Shaw. Though, if that was the case, they'd have been better off keeping Evra (who is the same age as Cole).

 

Neither of them are good enough in my opinion. Jones isn't a good enough centre half, never mind right back.I genuinely think they needed to replace all of the back 4 from last season.

Replacing like for like really in my opinion, but one thing's for sure they really need a clearout at the back.

Evans isn't good enough, Smalling hasn't lived up to his potential and even though I like Jones I just don't think he's going to be a World Class player that they need him to be.

 

Miranda would be a superb signing for Barca, and they should punt Fabregas back to the english pinball league first chance they get.

Rakitic isn't a holder, so if United signed him it'd probably be instead of Kroos. Can't see them signing that many players anyway.

No chance Van Gaal will sign Van Dijk when he's just left him out the World Cup squad.

£30million for Kroos
£45million for Reus

Thats about £180million. Coleman would probably get about £90k a week, Hummels about £110k, Van Dijk about £60k, Luis about £70k, Martinez about £120k, Kroos about £130k and Reus about £150k.

Although they could punt Evans, Smalling, Kagawa, Nani, Young and Hernandez would mabe get them about £50-60million and Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra and that leaving would free up plenty of wages. Could probably bin Fletcher too.

 

hakf these big name players are using united to get a higher wage at their current club, united will end up buying strootman etc, players that van gaal knows or players that arent at a top tier club

 

Strootman is a very good player he'll do well there if they go for him.
