Pawel Dawidowicz (Lechia Gdansk) signed for Benfica. Polish defensive midfielder, very similar to Matic. Tall but good on the ball. 19y, 2M€.

MEN reporting that Luke Shaw to United is 95% done

 

SSN reporting that Man United are after pretty much half of Europe.

 

He will be a very good player. Has all the attributes to be a top class defensive mid. He can also play centerback. I personally think he should have stayed in Poland for at least another year but hopefully the move works out for him.

 

Seeing all over twitter man utd have agreed a deal with bayern for toni kroos. What a horrible move for him.

 

Shaw and Kroos would be an unbelievable start to the summer for United. Why they didn't identify targets like them and did this last summer is beyond me.

Is close to title winning quality for me.

 

Have not a scooby how it would work and I'm not a mega tactician but would Kagawa not fit in anywhere? I still think he is really good. Maybe take out Carrick, or is that just too many of the same style?

 

I like Kagawa too, but as you say where would he fit in? Mata and Kroos are both arguably better in the number 10 role too but they're slightly more adaptable especially Kroos who's started playing deeper for Bayern. Kagawa in my opinion has to play centrally in a number 10 like role to get the best out of him and unless they sell one of Van Persie (move Rooney up top) or Rooney (which they won't) he'll not be played there.

 

They need a complete overhaul in defence. Phil jones just hasn't improved since his Blackburn days, smalling I don't think has or ever will be man utd quality, evra looks gone, Evans I'm not convinced by, another one who has never really looked to be the level required. Rafael despite being a decent enough player is a total loose cannon who always seems to cost them in big games. He really does make some dreadful decisions at times.

It will take a lot of money but they really do need it.

 

Would be class for United if they got Kroos, but it just doesn't make any sense him going.
For me that team still needs a new holding mid, who can just put loads of tackles in, I think their a shoe-in to get Strootman. and Evans isn't good enough, move Jones to CB and keep Rafael.

 

The club did Moyes rejected the players - Strootman - Garay - Thaigo as he had not scouted them and was unsure if Thaigo was cut out for the prem.

 

And people wonder why I don't rate Moyes as a manager at all? :smiley-laughing002:
